Not much room in a Fiero for huge amounts of stereo equipment, but an IASCA winning system can be made. I've done it! Please see my website at: www.geocities.com/fierosound
This details the complete building of the system (more or less). I had just scanned the photos in, and decided to quickly throw together the website. Not too fancy, but gets the job done.

I have a bruised chin from my jaw dropping down and hitting the floor. I'm amazed! I can't comprehend the amount of MONEY and TIME that went into doing this awesome sound system. Maybe a little overkill in my opinion, but some folks think that about me having a V8 in a Fiero too.
that is incredible!! I love the sub enclosures, and it's great how you managed to retain both the trunk space and all the interior space behind the seats.
good job, this site is definitely going on the Car Audio section of my website!

Thanks for all the positive comments on my Fiero GT stereo install. It's still sounds great after 5 years (with a yearly tune-up of the Equalizer). Hope it helps out anyone else looking at installing some stereo equipment.
I should mention that to support this system, I had installed a high output alternator (100 amp) and a second battery (small 30amp gell cell)controlled by a solenoid. In AUX mode the stereo system runs off the gel cell. When engine is running, both batteries are being charged.

I've been to Bryan Wilkinson's page several times, the Door Design section is still under construction. Anyone who has seen this car in person, what do the doors look like? the custom dash and center console was really cool.. I'm assuming the new door panels were equally good.
I still like my system better. Best is that it can all be done for under 600.00 CDN. With no loss of interior space, best yet you can see the entire box and subs. They are not hidden behind the seats.

Usually, I'm not a fan of mega-watt head throbbin' sound systems. I prefer to spend my $$$ on motor and suspension upgrades. But, your sound system is one of the best engineered I've ever seen... on any car.
My opinion... it's harder to have a great sound system that's heard and not seen. Great job!

Thanks for all the comments guys. I hope my site is helpful to some considering a stereo install. I agree there are other ways of installing a high-end system, and there are many variables to consider.
Do you want STEALTH (everything hidden) of SHOW (everything highlighted)?
Do you want the interior to look reasonably stock, or a completely redesigned interior?
Do you still want to keep a spare tire etc., and open trunk space, or are you willing to "fill it up"?
Additionally, you only have so much room to work with, so carefully choosing components is a must. You won't find "GOOD STUFF" on sale at WalMart. There is a reason 6x9s cost $120 and separates with x-overs cost $500 (and up)!! When you HEAR IT... you will know...

I've been getting lots of email and questions on my system, so there appears to be alot of interest out there. Some are duplicating some of the installation techniques - mostly the subwoofers. It takes work, but it can be done, and has great results. Thanks again for your interest...
fierosound, I remember seeing your car in one of the car audio mags, hope it was yours. They didn’t have any pics of the process but I remembered that they said it had the double firewall. Before you had your site. So I tried my best to see what I could come up with. And here is the pic of my first try in fiberglassing I had to put a piece of paper in the cut out section so everyone can see it. And I did work on the color of the pic to see if it would show up better.

Looks great, and is probably the easiest way to seal that well. Email me if you have any problems. I've reposted your message and picture in a General Chat forum https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum1/HTML/001208.html
