i have two wires on my 91GTP that were cut by the previous owner, or pulled out when the engine was swapped, anyway, one is blue with a red stripe, the other is black with a white stripe, they are right above where my shift linkage bolts to the 284 transmission, or i should say right under the airbox, i need to find out where these wires go!

I would look for a wiring schematic and track it down there.

I went through my '92 Lumina manual and the only thing I see that is close is a "LT BLU/ORN" wire that connects to the ECM and is a power steering pressure sensor. The BLACK/WHT is probably a ground. Which engine is this?

1988 GT, 5-speed, white, beechwood leather, trying to get my 3.4 DOHC put together.

its a 1991 grand prix GTP 3.4L DOHC 5 speed.

so far ive re-wired atleast 15 wires that were damaged when i purchased the car, including the power steering plug, its already been repaired, its lines were not completly severd, but they were pretty nasty looking.

Could they be for the sensor that plugs into the air-box or the rubber throttle body snorkle?

that sensor is good, and plugged in, any other trys?

Without my diagram handy I am only guessing. Since your wiring is from a manual equipped car you should have wires that go to a airpump

mosh, i have the diagrams for the 3.4 on my website. check your power steering pressure switch wiring, but I don't know of any blue wire with any strip that would go to anything else.

I was wondering, I just pulled a 3.4DOHC from a 92 Grand prix automatic harness,computer etc. What is the difference between my engine and a GTP engine?
