Ive got my whole car tore down darn near to a bare frame. Its go the drivetrain, guage cluster, a seat and a headlight still on it. So While Ive got all these parts off Im wieghing themsince I keep seeing all these "How can I cut wieght" Threads Heres what I got tonight

Hey, pretty cool! We were just talking about this a few days ago on the A/C removal....

I guess with those weights, plus all the other A/C parts (compressor, air-box and stuff), I figure another 25 pounds? (is that safe to say?) so a total of 40 pounds for the A/C delete??

You posting this thread made me think about the 3.4 TDC engine in my garage that I am rebuilding. So I went out and weighed some items from it.

The block weighs 106 lbs
The heads (each) weigh 21 lbs
The cam carriers (each) with cams weigh 41 lbs
The front cover weighs 17 lbs
The intake weighs 17 lbs.

Well heres a hell of a suprise. My car almost fully stripped weights 2200 !!! 860 front 1340 rear. I cant believe it. This is all thats on the car right now.

Basicaly just a frame, seat, DOHC/5spd and windshiled.
