Take a picture from the side. The short arm with the pin on it should be parallel to the main arm that goes to the pivot.

The part with the pad on it is supposed to be bent in such a way that the clutch pedal fits flat on the floor when fully depressed. Don't worry about that part. It's the U shaped bracket that holds the rod that goes into the master cylinder that bends sometimes. It bends back towards the driver and lessens the effective stroke of the rod pushing into the master cylinder. The rod gets a late start and you end up with less fluid going into the slave. If your clutch pedal rests 1" above your brake pedal, the clutch pedal is probably OK. I bought a new one from the Fiero Store. It was $30 several years ago.

The part with the arrow is what bends. In this picture, it would be bent up toward the viewer, if it is in fact bent. I think there is a picture on V8Archie's website showing a good illustration.

that looks OK to me, though it's kind of hard to tell. when mine bent the tops of the "U" were closer together than the bottom. it should be very nearly square.
if it's good the clutch pedal should sit higher at rest than the brake pedal.

fierostore sells them.

thx guys.

The pedal is fine. I thought that bend was the classic "bend" that everyone talks about.
