I am going with the ACCEL 19 # inj. on my 3.4 build. Has anyone else used these with the 2.8 fuel rail ?
Reason I ask is the way they are held in with the clip is different on the Accel injectors than on the OEM injectors.
There is a slot that is all the way around on the OEM Inj. that the clip goes in once the injector is in the fuel rail
and then the clip rotates in place to lock the injector in. THe Accel Injector has the slot but it is not all the way around
which does not allow you to install the clip (It can't be rotated to lock the inj. in place ). Please see the pic below.
Do you somehow mod the slot so the clip can be used or do you use a different clip.
Also I noticed the Accel injector itself is a little shorter on the nozzle end than the OEM. Any issues with this ?

Any Info. on this would be appreciatred !!

I ran into this with GP Soreson injectors---I`m pretty sure you use the slot above the notched one, that does go all the way around, this would explain it looking a little shorter, I know it looks like it doesn`t fit right, I fooled with it for a while & finally snapped it in and it worked--just looked goofy to me--but worked, these where not 19lbs-- they did look the same as you have --also was told from parts store that they have several different applications , one of them being the ones I had, anyway, fit some 3.4 push rods...

If you hold the injectors next to each other, you'll probably see the 19s are a tad shorter the the OEM You will place the clip on the other slot.. the one closer to the O-ring. (Like he said above). Yes, the O-ring will sit slightly higher in the fuel rail now, but it wll work.

these are a universal fit and they work really well .i have them in my 2.8 86 gt.they are noisier than stock but there was no leaks and i am happy with them, especially since they are a third of what i would have had to pay for stock injectors
