Did you look on your sticker in the front trunk compartment --on the drivers side wheel well. They may or may not have listed it. I`ll see if I can dig anything up tonight in the shop, one of the members has a site that explain`s the codes, I usually just look for the ext/paint/code. Maybe he will chime in also..

Accents , Usually mean the trim/panels, ex: the lower rocker / areo package they offered on some SE & GT, also could also mean the different color on some bottoms of Gt`s like the ones that has red on top --sliver or black on the bottom, (mostly SE had black bottoms) .. Can also mean interior colors , ect , ect. I`ll keep looking --might be a good idea to call a Pontiac dealership --body shop, paint supply house , ect. It was a universal color that they used--just need to find that site that had what all the codes meant.

No color codes for those that I could find. The underside of my hood looks satin black, while the underside if my decklid is dark grey.
I believe the dark grey is the normal color as they come out of the molds. Does anyone know for sure?

The RPO tags number (WA-XXXX or bb/cc number ' 2 numbers and 1 letter' ie/ ' 75U' ) are the basic color on the car. They usually dont have the codes for accent panels. Those are when you have two tone or ground effects in different color. Those are usually only gotten by comparing them to a chip with the listed accent colors for a given year at the paint store. Also the color book for that specific year will list what the underhood, trunk color was that was used. I believe there are actually 5 or 6 different types of black used in engine and trunk compartments on different components.

Ok, Did some calling to dealerships and so on, talked with their body shops--they just paint to closest match for underhood / trunk lid / door jambs, the best guess is they where the same color as the molding that pushed them out was, so Gm didn`t bother to list this on rpo codes --as it wasn`t a color in their eyes. Then tried the parts guy I know there, he may be able to get the rpo code info with using the vin #--but it won`t be in the same form, it would just be on a plain print out from their computers. And it`s not 100 % sure, but he`ll give it a try if wanted.
