I have run into a problem with the rectangular buckets. I can't find H4 lights that will fit.
Here is what I need:
Type: H4
Height: 95mm maximum (3½")
Width: 210mm maximum (8½")
with a mounting system to attach them to the buckets similar to what Hella uses for the 90mm round H9's.

Here is my offer to whom ever can help me find what I need.
50% off any bucket type you want and I'll pay the shipping.

These lamps are not DOT/SAE approved and are sold for off-road and racing purposes only but they are dang close to what we need. Now we just need to find them for those of us who drive on the OTHER side of the road.

The 150mm BOSCH/Guide lights will work for both for left-side drive cars (hl21001), and also right-side drive cars (hl21002). Both Models are E-code so one model or other should be legal for all countries except for the US, and supposedly they come with the mounting buckets. The only thing they don't have is the US DOT compliance. So if you don't care about the DOT compliance they will fit F1F's low profile buckets. I have found other housings that will fit, but use h9 bulbs which are single element bulbs.

I need to be sure of the mounting bucket option. Can you check on it? The only mounting buckets I can find here are for the 4" x 6" lamps and the frame for the bucket is too large.

I need the dimensions of both the glass and the mounting bracket around it.

I sent a email asking about if the included mounting buckets are enough or additional brackets are needed. I will post the reply when I receive it. Worst case would be to take the bracket from a donor car that uses the same size headlamp. The part would not be new but still useable. So are the measurements you listed the maximum space including the mounting bucket/brackets?

I still have about 12mm in height and 20mm in width to play with.

Thanks lurker for the link. I have a similar system here for the 4" x 6" Hella Guide lamps but the mounting frame is too large to fit behind the bucket face.

The reply I got from my email states that the buckets are included and the mounting space required is:
height: 89.15mm / 3.51inch
width: 154.4mm / 6.08inch
depth: 95.25mm / 3.75inch

I really don't trust the reply too much, personally I think they looked up spec sheet and just quoted it to me. I don't think they actually went out and physically looked at the part to measure and see what is really included. The only way to be sure is to actually get one in your hands. I am pretty sure the width is not going to be a problem with 75-90mm to play with, the height is going to be close with only 15-18mm left for the mounting bucket. I think it will work but it's very close.
