I finally had time to install it this past weekend, and I must say, I really like this product! Only took a few minutes to install. On my center console, as I tightened down the screws, the bracket bowed a bit, so all it did was back off on the screws a little, and the cup holder now slides in and out of the bracket very easily.

The bracket looks like its hand-shaped along the edges, but its done so perfectly that it wedges down and the two screws are there just to keep it in place. Excellent craftsmanship!

My first travel cup did not fit the hole, but over the years, I've amassed a collection of those things, so all I did was find one that fit. Since I only drink coffee in the morning and water bottles in the afternoon, this is the perfect solution for me. According to Darren, he'll make the cup opening any particular size that people want.

As you can see from the pic below, the bracket/cup holder in no way interferes with the lighter...which I have my cell phone charger plugged in, no problem. And the nice part is that the cup holder can be removed leaving only the bracket in place. (I keep the cup holder section right under the front of my seat.)

All in all, a really great practical product!

Your lucky you have an auto so you aren't shifting all the time.
The problem I would have with it is I have long arms and a manual trans.
It would be in my way. I also like to lay my arm on the console all the time.

I have the two hole one that sets off the right side of the shifter.

Looks like a nice holder though.

I'd really like a cup holder for fast food drinks, but i have a 4spd. it doesn't look like it would be to far in the way. have you guys actually tried it with a manual or...?

I also got a solo about a week ago for both cars, and in the automatic i really like it. They did a really good job making it all 'work', and it looks good too.

Now i dont have to keep my 'bottle' with me, as i can actually put a drink from a fast food joint there

I havent got it in the 5speed yet since its not running 100%, but after having it a week in the other car, i really dont foresee it being in the way at all.

They are really great guys too.
