I adjusted my stock FPR and achieved 62psi after shutting the car off, 58psi at idle and about 55-56 when I bump the accelerator. As soon as I let it idle after the "bump" it raises back to the idle pressure. This is with the E3270 Syclone/Typhoon stock pump and 17lb injectors. Seems quicker when accelerating from a dead stop. No highway runs yet. I noticed the fuel level needle dips a tad with this psi and comes back when I let off. I noticed a lot less backfire, I actually have to try to make it ":gargle and pop". Seems to rev quicker.
The observational leakdown "test" goes a little quicker than normal from 60ish psi to 40ish psi, but from 40psi to 0psi it takes a while, it stands pretty steady.
I have a comp260 k-kit, dual tb intake, intake track ported, heads polished.
Does the "dip" when I "bump" it mean it is not able to keep?
Placebo effect or could this be real?

There may be a delay for the fuel gage to read the presure. Are you useing a pulsater valve (noise surpressor)? If you are,you may have a slight internal leak in the fuel tank (nothing serious).I allways replace the pulsater with high pressure fuel line and hose clamps.

have you had a chip made for your setup yet? if not - I think what you are seeing is that the upper R's are finally getting the fuel they need - if you were on a stock chip.
What I was worried about was if I was going to damage the injectors by adding 20psi? Or hurt the FPR by adding washers under it.
I'm sure the pump can handle the load but I just figured that if I bump the throttle it should go up in pressure not down.
No pulsator...I used the fuel line provided in the box with the pump.
It seems that all is well with the current configuration. My thought was that if it bogged that i would switch it back and so far no probs. I installed a new o2 sensor just to be sure. I was just hoping to add a little more fuel and have that fuel atomized better.
Stock chip...I wanted to update my fuel system first.

I myself am more concerned about the old rusty metal lines down by the fuel filter & the seals in the fuel system handling the pressure.
anyways, the stock chip basicly has a flat fuel curve above 4k RPM, and with your increased fuel pressure & your wide open intake you now are getting some decent power up there. but, ideally, you dont want your pressure so high - you want a chip with a more approriate fuel table.
okay been playin with this all day. Lowered the pressure cause it was running too rich. Lowered it to what it was when I first started. Ran nice then does the same now. I have a stupid amount of blow by guess nitrous and old pumps suck. L67 or bust.
Do whatever you want, but the stock pump sucks and you may or may not see a performance increase, but your mpg may go up. Not sure it is totally up to you.
