Here are a few shots of my SD head. I just got it back from my head guy today. I have over *cough* five *cough* hundred into this setup so far (don't tell Genevieve)

Woah, unlike the stock heads, you can actually see the back of the intake valves.

Here are a few crude attempts to get a port size for comparison to 84-86 ports. SD head first:

2.02" / 1.60" stainless valves. Not cheap.

A comparison of one of my SD 4 bbl intakes to the "Ohh ahh" fancy Holley TBI manifold that everyone here used to lust after so much.

Here are some shots of the Holley TBI intake, which is set up to match stock 84-86 head ports.

The head on my SD4 was ported too. Absolutely huge - terrible for smooth idle

I have Stainless Steel Valves too - intake valves are 2.055" in diameter and the exhaust valves are 1.600" in diameter.

How big are your chambers? Mine are down to 48cc. I am hoping I can still get an idle; using PFI.
