Well, I have to apologize, I was not able to get the pin out for the 04 Chevy Malibu. ( I didn't realize my edition of AllData only goes to 03)
I was able to get the PCM pin out for the 98 Chevy venture 3400. I kept the best quality image I could. Sorry for the large file size. If you need other connector pin outs for the 98, I should be able to get them.

The big white connector goes to the bottom of the 3800 fuze box. The other connector is for the BCM.

All the connectors you show are body connectors for the donor car.
If you are using this harness to do a swap, all of these connectors get the axe. (just make sure you do not cut the PCM off if you snuck that picture in there without me looking.

the grey connector in the first pic IS an ecu connector, looks like left side connector, the black connector in the 2nd pic also IS and ecu connector, center one.
the 04 ecu has 3 rectangular plugs on it, thats 2 of them, the 3rd looks almost the sale as the grey on in the top pic, i dont see that plug on my harness... possibly goes the BCM?

I've got GM's service program and can look up data for late models up to 05, I've been working on putting a 2005 ecotec from a Malibu in, so I know exactly what you're going through. I'll give it a look. OH and DO NOT AXE those connectors yet. The big white one may look like a body connector, but if it's the one I'm thinking of, it goes from the Underhood Fuse Block to engine sensors and the PCM via some connectors. *edit to add the DO NOT AXE*

Does this look familiar: I'll be getting the pin out up soon. Ok, this looks to be Connector 1 (C1) of the Fuse Block-Underhood if your wires mostly match this pin out: Connector Part Information 15319894 68-Way F Metri-Pack 280 Series Flexlock (WH) Pin Wire Color Circuit No. Function A1 -- -- Not Used A2 GY 532 Cooling Fan Motor Supply Voltage 2 A3 BK 450 Ground A4-A12 -- -- Not Used B1 WH 504 Cooling Fan Motor Low Reference B2-B9 -- -- Not Used B10 PK 839 Run/Crank Ignition 1 Voltage B11 PK/BK 5291 Engine Main Relay Fused Control 2 B12 -- -- Not Used C1-C8 -- -- Not Used C9 PK 39 Run/Crank Ignition 1 Voltage C10 -- -- Not Used C11 PK/BK 5291 Engine Main Relay Fused Control 2 C12 -- -- Not Used D1-D3 -- -- Not Used D4 PK/BK 5290 Engine Main Relay Fused Control 1 (LX9) D5-D7 -- -- Not Used D8 PK 239 Run/Crank Ignition 1 Voltage PK 239 Run/Crank Ignition 1 Voltage D9 -- -- Not Used D10 PU/WH 1035 Starter Relay Coil Supply Voltage D11 PK/BK 5291 Engine Main Relay Fused Control 2 PK/BK 5291 Engine Main Relay Fused Control 2 (LX9) D12 PU 6 Starter Solenoid Crank Voltage E1-E2 -- -- Not Used E3 L-BU 409 Cooling Fan Motor Supply Voltage 1 E4-E7 -- -- Not Used E8 D-GN 59 A/C Compressor Clutch Supply Voltage E9-E10 -- -- Not Used E11 PK/BK 5291 Engine Main Relay Fused Control 2 PK/BK 5291 Engine Main Relay Fused Control 2 (LX9) E12 -- -- Not Used F1-F12 -- -- Not Used
Now, this mostly shows voltages that should be present on the wires, not what they go to. But as you can see, some like the coolant fan supply voltages are outputs of the the cooling fan relays in the underhood fuse block and go out to the cooling fan connectors. There are literally tons of pages for me to go through to find all of the information that you're looking for so I'll have to get back to you. But with me and IFLYR22 helping you, we should get it figured out.

theres also a round black connector with several pins?
Does it look like this: If so, that is C100 Engine harness to Automatic Transmission Harness connector. If that matches your round black connector then do you need a pin out for it? ~John * oh, if you have wire colors for some of those connectors in pictures 2 and 3,(ie, pin a is green and purple, pin 2 wire is black, etc) it will make this a little more accurate and faster.

thanks a million, i think when i actually make the ecu harness i will try and writedown every wire on where i took it from and where i put it, maybe make the next person who does it a bit easyer on them :P

Hey, here's a little trick that I've been using to integrate the 05 Malibu and Cobalt parts into my Fiero. When I cut a wire for splicing I make the end into a loop and thread the end of the wire around itself. Then I take a paper label, just one of the Avery Stick on white labels, like for files, and label the wire like, "PCM C1-A4 to Evap Canister purge Solenoid Pin A - Wh/Bk : Solenoid Control Signal" Then I fold the label around the wire above the loop I made and wrap a piece of scotch tape around the label. The loop keeps the label from sliding off the wire, the description let's me identify everything I need to know, the scotch tape serves two purposes of: keeping the label readable if I touch it with dirty fingers and holding the folded label in position as sometimes the adhesive on the label sucks. Good luck and post when you can, I'm adding this to my bookmarks of helpful info given out so I don't forget to come back here. Good luck.

I foresee lots of splicing and crimping in our futures. I myself am taking a break from wiring the BCM into the Fiero controls. Gotta take a look at the schematics again and see about the high beam control/indicator to get it to light up on the Malibu dash. Oh, I *might* know what the purple connector in the second picture is. When you find the wire colors I'll verify that it is/isn't what I think it is off my GM esi and get all the info back to you. ~John

im going to try not to splice anything, ima cut&re-crimp ends into the new ecu harness... or so the plan says atm, and im not using the BCM... afaik the 98ecu doesnt need the bcm to run(same ecu as the 3800's, just different code)

I figure I'll have to reroute wires at least 3 times, so I'm using spade terminals and then once I have everything right I'll splice, solder, coat and heatshrink it all. Also, I am using the Malibu Cluster and thus for simplicity... *cough*bs*cough* I'm using the bcm. I don't know how well it's going to work out, I don't think I'm going to be running by June 6th for the Arlington Fiero Run. Here's what I was talking about with labeling: The tape also keeps the paper labels from ripping off. ~John
