I just got my car 2 months ago and the visors have been loose since I got it. I tried to tighten the screws on them but they already seemed to be as tight as they could go. Any suggestions?

welcome to the crazy world of fieros! sadly you will have to replace the visors. after time the partical board inside softens and the strength of the material is jeopardize. i have a 84 and had the same problem. there are numerous sources for new or reupholstered visors. Fiero Store,Mr. Mikes and search on this site. there is a person who does the visors and sunshades and are perfect and cost a little less than The Fiero Store. good luck

I took the visors off, pulled out the small plastic bushing that is inside, and put a layer of tape around it then re-installed. That helped for a little while anyway

Driving a Fiero is like driving a Rough-Draft, Pontiac got it to work, now its up to you to make it a good car.

If your a handyman, search around, a couple years ago there was a complete writ-up with good photos of doing it yourself. You ,ight also check the local u-pull-it, I have seen 2 this year that had been lovingly cared for until at least shortly before RIP at the places.

I just finished this swap tonight and it may be worth your consideration. I picked up some lighted visors from a 2000 Cadillac STS recently on a guess that they'd fit. It only cost $33 shipped on Ebay so I wasn't too worried if it didn't work out. One thing to keep in mind is the STS interior color choices don't match the Fiero colors very well. I had enough other black trim so I don't mind the contrast in my case. There was some slight modification to the hinge flange (trimming the screw bosses down) and I had to use longer screws due to the bolt hole pattern being a bit smaller on the Cadillac but this was a relatively easy swap. How did it come out? Well, it's not perfect but it's good enough for the girls I date. Sorry the pics are blurry, it was dark out and my phone hates the night.
