Ok i hope there is a transmission guy that can tell me if the TH325 shares any parts with the th 350 or what trany .i am planing on using one with my 4.3 due to no custom flywheel or starter and easier to get at all the spark plugs. It will be reverse mount so timing the engine will be easrier

from what i am finding so far is that the tranny uses the same parts as a TH 200 so tci has parts to make it realy strong and i will be calling richmond gear for diff gears to see what they can do for me

Maybe divorced 9 inch but now how would you suspend it?
From what I gather the th325 is very similar to the th200. good to about 400 hp. these are the trans put behind the Buick Gran Nationals when built right can handle upwards 1000 hp
Here is a Car Craft article but there using the th200-4. would think the 200 would be similar.

According to my trans guy, the TH200 R4 (Grand National trans) (4 speed) and the TH 325 4-L trans (4 speed 1984-1985??) pretty much shares the same internals and they can build it to hold 700- 800 HP in a 3600-3800 lbs GN. So in a lighter car, it will be able to push more power. I think the TH 325 is different only a three speed and I don't know if it's like a TH 350 or TH 200 ( both three speed). Now the TH 425 shares the same internals as the TH 400 so you can really run 1000+ horses if it's built right but the down side is it's only a three speed . It will handle the power, some people say the chain would be the weakest link once you get to a certain HP level but it's cheap to get it built, just like the TH 400 .On the other hand, we spend about 2K on good TH 200 R4 built.
