Or, are you planning to use the parking lights to trigger a relay for the foglights with that wire switched?
I could see the advantage there as the foglights would not be able to be turned on unless the parking lights were on. That would not be difficult to do. You would just need to pull a parking light and tap into the + wire. Run it to the toggle switch you wish to use. From the toggle switch you would connect to the coil on the relay with the other side of the coil grounded. You would take a fused wire to the switch pole on the relay supplying postive power. From the other switch pole you would go to the foglights + input and ground the - on the foglights.

Are they driving lights or fog lights. There is a difference. The driving lights are clear lenses and fog lights are a yellowish lens. Driving lights must turn off when the high beams are on, and I'm pretty sure that fog lights should too.

That might take 2 relays... But I could still wire it up to work . Just use a second relay signaled by the high beam + to interupt the power wire circuit for the foglights.

Drivers lights are not always true. All of my cars have high and low beams on at the same time when high beams are on. Fog lights must turn off while using high beams. To tell you the truth I think its one of thoes old unenforced laws in PA that your fog lights must be turned off to oncomming cars as well.
Edit to say, Pontiacfierokid, You might want to use puntuation and caps. I'm no one to talk because I used to type the same way but it will catch up with you on this fourm.

Fog light can be yellow or clear. Fog light is how it is focus.
1. fog or driving light cannot be mounted even or Above bumper in most state. 2. fog light must be on with low beam is most states. 3. No fog or driving light w/o head light is on. Parking light is a no no. Parking light mean park only. Big ticket in moving vehicle in most state. 4. One set fog and one set driving light allowed on a single vehicle in most state. (And set means two bulbs.)
I can't remember driving light as be on/off and beam on headlight.
wire path...
1. Will not burn up the system. Fog/driving light draw too many amps. (Aux Light side should be fuse and run directly from battery.) 2. Be legal in most states.

Its actually safer to run parking lights when no headlights are needed as it makes the vehicle more noticeable..........I've done it for years and so do most everyone around here even cops. I will continue to do it till i can't drive anymore.
