When the previous owner rebuilt the 2.8 in my car, they had this cam installed

Is this cam better than stock? Is it comparable to a COMP 280H? Which isnt made for a 2.8. I know nothing more than what is in the picture. Unless info is needed off the engine balancing sheet.

Good to fair idle quality. Good low end torque and response in 1800 - 2600 RPM range. Good
low end and mid-range power in 1500 - 4000 RPM operating range. Good fuel economy cam
with correct equipment. Good choice for light towing. Compression 9.5 to 1 or less. Will work
with stock or slightly modified engine, stock automatic or manual transmission. Recommended
spring pressure 105 lbs. for valve on seat; 265 lbs. for valve open. Stock axle ratio 3.20 to 4.20
to 1 range. Not recommended for racing.

They rate their cams from A (stock) to E...(full race)....yours is a B.

This is according to:

Great Info, I was unable to find anything on the internet about it. Good to know. My car is pretty much stock!

Yes, somewhat.

No. Its specs aren't especially close to a Comp Cams 260H --- let alone what the specs for the hypothetical Comp Cams 280H might look like.

Rather, that Elgin cam's basic specs are more comparable to those for the mild Comp Cams 252H cam.

My table below displays a side-by-side comparison of some basic specs for the stock 2.8L Fiero cam, the Elgin E-999-P cam, and the Comp Cams 252H cam, respectively. As you can see, the basic specs of the Elgin and the Comp Cams 252H cams are similar to one another, so each provides roughly the same increases in duration and lift over the stock 2.8L Fiero cam:

code:

2.8L Fiero Elgin E-999-P Comp Cams 252H
Duration @ 0.050" - Intake 196o 208o 206o
Duration @ 0.050" - Exhaust 203o 208o 206o
Lift - Intake .394 .420" .425"
Lift - Exhaust .410" .420" .425"

However, the Elgin cam in my opinion, should win an award for "Most Presumptuously-Named Mild Aftermarket Cam" --- mainly because of the "Pro Stock" reference employed in its full name: "Elgin Pro Stock E-999-P."
