My '86 GT convertible ran a best of 13.69 at the 20th show in Detroit back in '03. This was a stock 300 horse N* auto (4t-80e) with heavy chrome 18" wheels......heck, the whole car was heavy. It weighed in a just under 3100 pounds! I think a "normal" Fiero with a N* auto should be in the 13.2 range.

IIRC Will had dyno'd his at 270 ish when he did that. Hopefully he'll chime in. If you get the stock engine running with a good tune and exhaust, 290-300whp (with a manual trans) is easy and you should be mid-high 12's.

It was 255 at the wheels on the stock engine I had originally. That was an L37 with LD8 tune.
While they're not on the quarter mile list, there have been a couple of 4T80E Northstar cars running low 13's.
Shed 200 lbs and gain 20 RWHP by running a 282 instead and you'll unsurprisingly run .4 faster in the 1/4 and get down to 12.8's.
Right now my built engine has 300 RWHP and I'm putting together a noise legal exhaust to run the car in VA. I'll get an updated quarter mile time this summer.
Based on other powertrain combos, 330ish WHP and decent launch will run 11's. 300 at the wheels is good for 12.2 to 12.4.

You're dreaming if you think 330ish will get you into the 11's with the 282.
Just because a stick slows down a turbo 3800 doesn't mean it slows everything else down. I don't have to wait for my turbo to spin back up when I shift.

I didn't hit 11's (11.9) until I was going 120mph with the 3800sc.
Actually, you do have to wait. Manual transmissions turbo cars are at a much bigger disadvantage relative to their automatic counterparts than manual transmission N/A cars. Turbo T/A's were much slower with manual transmissions. Turbo technology has come a long way since then, but will never get away from physics. There's a finite amount of power available to spin up a non-zero moment of intertia. It takes time/power and that's inescapable.
If you look around, you'll find a couple of naturally aspirated stickshift cars with about 300 WHP running low 12's.

And its hard to have to wait for a turbo when you are SPRAYING a SUPERCHARGED car. Justin trapped 120 running nitrous and a SC3800 setup making well over 300whp without the 125shot.
The "waiting for spool" concept was valid before blow off valves, VGT turbos, and heavy but efficient exhaust wheels that hold their speed well between shifting.... Trying to say Justin doesnt have full boost within .25 seconds after hitting it into the next gear is just a pure speculation on your part, and in reality a flat out lie.
To take justin's supercharged 5speed from 12.6 to 11.9 took 150hp... to take it from 11.9 to 11.5 took at least another 150hp, probably more.... its the nature of manual transmission fieros....
