This is a nice, cheap and easy way to clean your injectors! I need to do the injectors on my 3800SC engien that has been sitting for a year.

I had a few of them on my Mercedes that were stuck closed so that wouldnt work. What I do, is just pull the injector nozzel open with my fingernail and spray carb cleaner all over and inside it, let it open and close a few times till its free, then use an air nozzel with a rubber tip to blow it dry. Repeat if nec. They all work perfectly now. If they are just working poorly because theyre dirty, I guess this would work as well.

Plus for you! I have a ton of clogged injectors and really don't want to pay $10 or $15 each to get them "rebuilt".

Just a word to the wise - not all fuel injectors require 12 volts - you can and will fry the coil in the injector with too much voltage! Be sure you know the specs of the injector before throwing 12 volts to it!

I just did mine with a 9v.

I'm a little concerned with the pressure. anyone know what kind of psi is in that can? I ran mine to an air compressor with a regulator so I knew what was going on. It also gave a fair idea of spray pattern at the correct psi. I also used fuel injector cleaner. I was afraid that the carb cleaner might attack the plastic. An A for creativity though, I never thought to use the aresol spray can.

Dont the injectors run with like 40 pnds of pressure ? Im sure the aerosol can is nowhere near that. Just curious.

Aerosols are typically a lot higher than 40...depends on the temp of the gas, and propellant used, but normally they're going to be some where between 30 and 100 psi. Its not unheard of to run pressures around 60psi through injectors, so it's likely not going to be a problem running aerosol pressures through injectors.
