I am at the point of putting the wring harness on my engine.

1. Should I put on the harness first then put the engine in the car?
or
2. Should i put the engine in the car then put the harness on?

Put the harness on the engine before you put it in the car.

---
edit to piggy back on the following post

Assuming you dropped the cradle, then you should try to fully assemble the cradle before putting it back into the car. Anything you can do before it is installed in the engine compartment will be easier outside the car. That includes exhaust, and even attaching the engine side of the radiator hoses.
