This car is all fu***d up, i can't believe this P.O.S. even runs!! the windows don't roll up or down, so the heat from the engine keeps you nice and tan, the wipers don't work, the interior light stays on whether the door is open or closed, this gies you a better view of all the fuc**d up scratches and holes in the seats and dash, the seat has a built in "Gangsta lean", the fan has a switched to turn it on and the power supply to the fan hanges below the car,(do not forget to turn this off when you get out of the car) there is more but I don't EVEN wish to get into it right now!!!!!!!!!!And to top it off it will not pass smog due to a vacum leak in the intake manafold (spelling) My question to you is, should i shot it or try to rebuild?

84? Nope it's an 86 V6. I don't think it's the cars fault, it has to be the prev.owners. i took pictures but i don't have a place to host them. Does anyone know of a place?
86 V6, then its really worth restoration.. hell if you don't want it I'll give ya $50 for it..

*does a 'PIP' impression* Hey, hello.. man look down.. a lil further, there ya go.. My names Pip, download me. I'll upload ya pictures onto fiero.nl so you can display em. and I'm free. *done*
That's funny because I own several 86 V6s...all are driven almost daily...and all look and run like they're BRAND NEW. I wonder why? OOOOOOOH yeah, I remember, because not only did I buy them that way (previous owners were fanatics about keeping them in mint condition), but I also keep them that way! I can't stand people who trash their cars!

<grin> Some even take ok cars, and turn them into GREAT cars
The car will treat you with the same respect you treat it. I choose to treat mine with a great deal of respect, hope they return the favour! (so far, so good, except for the *#& brakes, those suckas gonna pay!)
Best! Ben.

Even if it happened to be an '84, doesn't mean it couldn't be a GREAT car.
For the interior lights not turning off I'd look at the door ajar switches up by the hinges. For the windows, if they are pwr windows put a voltmeter at the plug to check for a break in the line. Good luck, fixing and restoring any car takes patience.
Hey some pre owened cars need more work than others but they all need work thats why we have this forum for ppl who want to have their car in tip top shape on a tight buget Please be nice to your car we are here to help you

The Fiero can be a lot more enjoyable if it's the secondary car of the family, not the only vehicle owned and driven. That's a fact jack. Those of you with company cars are lucky.

That must be the car that the previous owner of mine had practiced on! Everything I have had to repair or replace has been cobbled to some degree by the last guy. Shoot him not the car

For a minute there I thought you were talking about my car. Just take it one project at a time. Patience is everything....especially when you own a fiero.

Same here. I get off work in about 20 minutes and I have to go home and continue in my quest to try to make my '86 run again. It always seems to be one thing after another, and believe me the car has come close to being dropped off in front of a junkyard in the middle of the night more than a few times, but you just have to be patient and keep plugging away. (Just don't plug away with a .357 or anything) Hang in there.

Another thing to try for the interior lights, check the rotary dimmer switch for the instrament cluster. It it's turned all the way up the interior lights come on. I forgot about that one once and laughed for 5 minutes after realising what it was.
