Hey coolcat, That is not my car although it has a really cool chin spoiler like mine. I have a t-top as you can see in the first pic. I think it is Lawrence's car because the second pic and third pics are ones I had of his car. I have a spoiler like his because I got the idea for mine from his.

OK I C now. as soon as I saw the chin scoop I immediately thought it was a older pic of your car. The T-TOP's didn't even cross my mind till now (now my head hurts from smacking it...DUUAAA)

Thanks for the compliments. The lights were ordered to fit the exact size of the opening. The driving lights are mounted using the U-shaped brackets that came with the lights. The mounts are bolted to the bottom of the original nose using some reinforcement. The opening itself adds to the support of the light since it fits in snuggly into the opening. My light pockets are smaller than Lawrences because I used rear reflector pockets from a back bumper of a GT and Lawrence used the front turn signal pockets from a GT nose.

i think blackstang is referring to the purple pavement eater, it looked blue in the pic. just to clear up any confusion over lt1 chop-top's car, it wasnt that! was a notchback 85 gt
Mr.Stang... the blue/silver choptop v8 you refer to is known as the "purple pavement eater" and can be found on http://www.v8archie.com (I believe in the "for sale" section). It is an awsome ride!
Skitime- and I was just going to ask how you did the recess for the light... nevermind!

Technically the PPE wasn't an '85 Notchback. Check out the taillights- Fastback GT models... the sail panel was custom formed to resemble a notchback, but retain the fastback lights & decklid. Mmmm... yummy.
