March 2nd @ 10:00 am, the Peterson Museum will be hosting a private tour for us, Fieros West. During the tour we will be introduced public and private displays. I have also recieved word and it is official, Janice from Public Affairs at the Peterson Musuem will have the 1989 Fiero Prototype moved from the vault and put on display for us - and it will be a HANDS ON display
I spent nearly a year planning this event and it has finally come through - any and all Fiero owners are invited, I made the reservation for 30+ people. The tour will begin at 10am and will end at 11am. After the tour we will be privleged to se the rest of the displays that the museum has to offer.

WOW!!!
You gotta have them do this again sometime, and give me enough notice to be there!
I can see it now... not only are there going to be lots of nice pics, but a complete photographic record of the 89 prototype detailing every aspect of the car enough to build one from scratch!
You ARE planning on doing that, right? Who knows when any Fiero people will have access to an actual 89 Prototype again.

I am THERE I'll schedule the time off as soon as I have verification that I can actually come. I am still an honorary member of Fiero's West, right?

That is soooooooooo cool! What is the Peterson museum though? Is it run By GM? I could have swore that Aus fiero or someone told me that every 89 Fiero that ever existed, was totally gone and crushed now?

This Tour sounds Awesome. Wonder what the new features are beyond the 88's. Power steering or ABS maybe? Was the engine upgraded? Probably could pass for a 1992 auto with its timeless styling. http://hometown.aol.com/m34chev/myhomepage/auto.html

The plans are thatn the vault will be open and we will be allowed in. At this point in time, though it is the first day in the Pennocks News, there have been no RSVP's of any kind. The reservation was made for 30 people, there are 8, maybe 10 members from our club that will go so that leaves the other spots to be filled by anyone that would be interested which is why I made the reservation so large.
We plan on bringing photographing medium of everykind, climbing under the car, over the car, and add all facts to every question ever asked about the 89. If you guys don't hear from me after the day of the event it's because I stole the car and am in hiding
........hey Cliff - are there extradition treaties between your country and the U.S.? hehehe
OMG!!! My first thought was... "INTERIOR PICTURE'S"..... WE ALL WANT THOSE!! Eric, you can hide the car here at my house... no treaties between Texas and the U.S. is there?? Ohh, I guess were a state now huh...

Just out of curiosity, Whitch 89 do they have? There are or were at least 6 1989 Fiero's afaik. 3 of them were in the holding yard and were all 89 coupes, then there is the metalic grey one that is parked on the grass and has 4 different pictures of it all over the internet. Then there is the red/orange colored one you may have seen the picture of it scanned from some magazine with Gold lace GT wheels(usually a low quality pic) Then there is another red/orange one (same color as the one in the magazine) that was on a display in a room with all kinds of drawings on the wall. It has these rims that are simular to the High tech finned alluminum wheels, but not quite. Ill try to collaborate all these different cars and post them here.

Too bad I won't be able to go. But here's an Idea! We have a few members who are very good at making body panels, Why don't we get a list of them and find a way for to get them to the showing? That way they could reproduce the body.

ENGINE! ENGINE PICS OF THE 89!!! we must find out what engine it has!! also take some good pics and maybe you can put them on a poster and sell them, i would buy one!
Lets see, Its about a 2 hour drive from here, ummm...I just bought a fiero so I'll have a way to get there...hmmm...something is missing. oh yeah, I won't be able to go. I'LL BE UNDERWAY. ARRRRGGHHH. stupid navy.
hey logic... just tell them that the fiero fans are a very militant bunch of people, and you expect them to be terrorists.... (IE, national security...) so have them send the Seals. THEN... if you aren't a Seal, tell them that you should go, since you have a fiero and you can blend in well... kinda like being undercover.

depends, for everyone thats going I need an answer:
spend the rest of the day shooting the pelipheral **** at the museum OR
have a bbq here at the shop? - wouldn't be a bad idea as we would be due for another one at that time. By March 2nd, we should have a 3800 II SC into an 88 and several other ongoing projects for everybody to check out.
27 days until we get to meet the 89 Fiero in person...
What are the possiblities of seting up a hand held web cam for this event for Pennock's to see?
