I've seen lots of nice Fieros on here, but most still have the typical stock Fiero 80s looking interior.
Now if you are one of those people that likes everything all original, that's cool. But if you are like me and want a 21st century looking Fiero, let's see some custom interiors.
I'm not talking about changing the console facia color, putting on a new steering wheel or a sub-box. Practially everybody has done that. I'm talking about real improvement:
1) Sightlines of the gauges not blocked by the steering wheel 2) Decent gauges with good visibility 3) Heater/AC, Radio controls in the center console that you can actually reach without leaning forward 4) Soft leather versus the GM plasticy look 5) Integrated LCD screen for intertainment system or GPS 6) real center console that can actually hold something 7) Glove compartment 8) last but not least, integrated cup holders
The 4th gen Firbird/Camaro and the 5th gen Corvette are nearly perfect inside, so I know GM would have got it right had the Fiero continued until today.
The PISA wraparound dash is a good start, but it doesn't go far enough. I plan to start working on a one-off interior with all the features mentioned above. I'll keep the forum posted of my progress.

I'm not selling these, just trying to convince others that it's time to upgrade their interiors. $1200 + shipping... Here is the link to PISA: http://www.cybercars.com/mnfr/fierohq/war.html
Let's get to modifying those interiors!!

Uses stock guages positioned for better viewing. Incorporates 10.4" Touchscreen for the computer. Speakers place for optimal front stage. It is has been painted and vinyled since those pics.
Not for my car, but I think that it looks great, and it's a great idea having a link to the past. I liked the IFG Dash - http://www.ifgonline.com/new.html - but they said that it wouldn't work in a stock Fiero. If no one comes up with anything better (To me. We each have our own tastes), I may buy it anyway and make it fit....

This is what I was talking about. I was not suggesting to buy the PISA dash, but wanted to show an example of a custom dash.
What are you using as the structual material? Looks like some kind of fiberboard, maybe MDF and covered with Fiberglass?
I definitely will be starting something like this in the near future.

Ya, all of them Used an old fiero dash for shape around the windshileld and mounting points. Put a plywood frame the entire width, used fiberglass and hardboard for the shape.
"I don't want to be an ******* here (not like I can help it), but those dashs don't look new, they still look like 80's dashes, just tackier.."
Yeah, maybe mine's not "new" looking, but the form follows function in my case. When you've got all the junk I have, you'll see why I made it this way. Oh and especially when my sound system has you convinced the windshield wiper knows how to sing...a near perfect stage(I was so amazed by how it sounded it brought a tear to my eye)

It is modified to prove that a Fiero is capable of having a superior sound system. A few modifications have been made since the pictures. A MOMO commando steering wheel, MOMO crystal knob, and a blue/cream color scheme. No plans for a cup holder.
Feel free to post the pic here, I've been too lazy to find out how.

Joe, sounds like you and I are on the same page. I bought an old dash on ebay just to get the dimensions right, and I plan to build up from there. If I completely screw it up, no harm, no foul. I also am going to have an LCD screen and a DVD player up there too. No room for that in an 80s dash.
I'd love to see more recent pics if you have any.

Now that is a custom dash!! Very 21st century with the gauges in the center like that. Doesn't meet my requirements, but I like the way it looks.

Bryan's red GT no longer exists. Only the sub box, body panels, and interior exist today.
He is finishing the final install of the stereo interior into his former blue 3.4 GT (my new one) seen on my website. I am picking it up in May and it will be at its first show at Fierorama.
Bryan and I are good friends, so don't think I am ripping him off in any way. He sold me everything.
