John, stimpy forwarded your PM, and that's how I know about you. And Blake told me he's sending his in. That makes, um,
two. We have set a minimum of 20 registrations to hold the event. If there aren't
20 rooms taken, the meeting room would cost $150, and I want to avoid that unnecessary expense. I know it's very early yet, but I can't wait until a month before the event to know how many are coming. This isn't the 18th annual, you know, it's the first, so attendance is uncertain. Once the minimum have made the commitment, I don't care if the others wait until October 11th.
As JohnF mentioned, my Texoma lodge contact threw some surprises at me: seems he didn't realize how much of the parking lot we desired to rope off; and he plans to give us a smaller meeting room (according to expected attendance) which has no windows, instead of the bigger one with the nice view. Negotiations continue on these points. The Plan-B location has not returned my calls - yes, planning a regional event is just a whole lot of fun!
