I'm still waiting on sokme replies so I can get to thinking and planning .. We need to plan this where as the lower state's that have caravan can meet with the middle states as they leave that way we can be a 100 car group by the time we get there...
anybody around hershey PA going to the 20th anniversary? if so email or PM me so we can setup a caravan. what hotels is everyone staying at? and how far in advance can we book them?
The great thing about having the caravans is we can know where they will be and aproximately when. I'm going to try to get something lined up to help out with food & gas. Those with technical abilities can bring up the rear for assisting anyone with breakdowns. I'll probably be in Pontiac by the time the caravans begin, and it should be fun getting calls from them as they make their way.
There are various things which can be done to help make the caravans more interesting. If you have ideas of your own, and any organizing suggestions, post them or send them to me.

I would join a caravan if it went through the Buffalo area.
Which would be very feasable for a northeast route.
All the people from downstate NY, PA, and New England would probably go through Buffalo to go through Canada to get to Pontiac. It's a much faster route than driving around lake Erie.
Plus, then the caravan from the northeast could meet up with a caravan from Toronto which would result in a HUGE amount of cars!
My turbo just better be ready by next July!

I met with Cheever at the Nationals, and also had lunch with him yesterday as he came through Tulsa.
One thing (out of many) that we discussed is the caravan thing. I suggested 2 things. First, that each caravan have a "support vehicle" involved, such as a truck/trailer with tools, air, etc (most autocrossers already have what they need) to help out with any breakdowns.
Second, why not contact the Pontiac Dealers that are en route for each of the various planned caravans? They would like the publicity, and I would bet most would welcome a stop by a bunch of Fiero's - and also that could provide an emergency back-up, again in the event of a breakdown.
Just sharing a couple thoughts.
Like Cheever, I most likely will be in Pontiac about the time that most caravans leave, but anybody going up early from the west - I would love to meet with and caravan with you. I will be trailering my car, so could provide the support for those that do go early.
