As referenced in the above thread, (on page 6) I'm starting a PFF Supporters Group.
This is going to be a real simple deal. It's ment for anyone who wants to support Cliff but can't part with $50/month to buy a banner.
I'm setting up a little fund where you can send a check, cash, Credit Card, stamps whatever. I'll keep these monies in a seperate fund and as it builds, I'll order Banner space for the group from Cliff.
I'll ask input for the banner from those that donate.
If we can keep this thread up towards the top, I can post the financial statement of the fund weekly.
We're going to keep this very simple, so pay attention.
My Address V-8 Archie 7 Hillside Dr. #C Barrington, IL 60010 shop phone 847-304-4480
#1 Make checks out to V-8 Archie. I'm not going to setup a seperate bank account just for this.
#2 With your donation I MUST have the following information. A) Your Name B) Your PFF Screen name. C) Is it ok to publish your PFF name along with the donation amount for the public record?
#3 I just ask two things, do not EMail attached files to me without warning. & Donot call my 800 number just to tell me that you are sending $2.00 to the cause.
#4 If you don't trust me to handle your nickels and dimes then ignore this thread.

Three cheers for the PFF S.G. (sounds like a cheesy sci-fi TV series)!!! I'll go on record to say I'll soon become a regular contributor. I've already got more Frequent Forum Miles than I can use. Might as well give a little something back, right? Good work, Arch!

Like I said, I'm going to keep this simple.
I won't be mailing out Reciepts, the weekly publication of the financial statement of the fund will be your rec't.
At the present time, I don't take PayPal & as I said before "I'm not going to setup a seperate bank account just for this. Besides I already take Credit Cards as part of the business, so PayPal would be redundant.
Originally posted by Monkeyman: I'll contribute now that I'm unemployed. A little now and alot later (as bills get caught up). The check will be in the mail soon, Arch.
How about it guys....everyone has been wanting to help Cliff out every since I can remember.......... now is the time to get off u'r butt.
BTW, this will be an ongoing program, so if you can't do it today, you can do it tomorrow. Donations will always be needed.

Instead of sending out reciepts which would take tons of time, you could just PM the PFF'er that sent you the money letting them know you recieved it. That doesn't take much time.
Archie - rec'd the radiator a few days ago. Thanks! Since you already have my credit card info, please put $24 on it for PFF. If you DON'T still have it, tell me and I'll email or PM it to you.
Thanks AGAIN!

That's correct.
So far we have $159.00 in hand from 5 donors.
From $2.00 to $100.00, every little bit helps.
Earlier, I mentioned that I was going to post up an accounting of monies rec'd. and spent etc. I'll be doing that this evening.
I have a small problem, 2 donors have requested that I don't publish the amounts with their names. One of those requests came from a donor who gave a very large amount..... Here is the problem, I don't know how to provide 100% accountability for the funds without giving exact amounts & donors names.
Over the last year or so, lots of people have volenteered to start paying "dues" to be members of PFF. Some people are making donations as if they are paying monthly Dues. That's exactly what I had hoped would happen with this group. Others' are acting like they are paying yearly dues, that's ok too.
I think it's great that people are chipping in to do what Cliff wouldn't let us do all along.
Also....since this is intended to be an ongoing Supporters group, I think we should buy multiple banners as soon as the monies come in.
What do you think?
Also, I need suggestions as to what the banners should look like.
I'm thinking, something with "PFF Supporters Group" and the names of the persons whose $ paid for that particular banner.
What do you think?

How about something like each month the banner could be a pic of someone's car or themselves? And if someone didn't want to be revealed, they could pick one of yours? Just an idea.
(P.S. Mike forgot to take my check. We will just contribute together. I will be sure the check is written out and sent. For once I will be the responsible one. HAHA!!)
I also think we should go with whatever you want to do Archie. I think the PFF supporters group banner sounds fine. As long as the forum keeps going i'm happy.

Hey Archie, I love the idea. Is the banner going to link to a website explaining the donations and everything? That would be a good way to go with it. I'll try to send a little something sometime soon.

How about "Anonymous" in place of the name? Only way I can see, other way you can't.

And I also say Thanks, Archie!
