Looking at buying a car down there and need to get it back up here to the Destin area. Any local guys with tow dollys wanting to make a buck or two?

Or any suggestions about transport? Who to call for a good price?

Thanks for the help. Car has bad motor but otherwise decent candidate for engine swap.

It's just a thought but U-Haul rents both trucks and tow dollys.

Thanks Roy. LOL

Just thinking someone might either be headed this way or want to make some money dragging the car here. Like to keep the money within the Fiero community if I can. Money earned means more Fieros bought.

What about it Lakelanders?

If I ever had a day off
I have nothing to tow it with or I would help you out.
The only cars I have are Fieros and not one of them is getting a hitch put on.

7 hours away from Lakeland. 14 hours is round trip.

Destin is West panhandle.

Nothing happening so far today. Thought one of the Lakeland folks was going by to take a look at the car and give me a heads up on it.

Last thing from the dealer was the $650 offer which I rejected and countered with the true figures. ($593.46)

So it's hung up on that I guess. I could go get it for $650, but I've lost any ability to trust the dealer. A car that "needs some work on the motor" might have a rod sticking out of it.

Hey David don’t give up on me yet
I tried to go take a look at it Sunday but the lot was closed and I couldn’t see the car from the road. But guess what I work 2 blocks from the lot and can take a look for you Wednesday. I am the only one with the administrator password at work tomorrow so I have to stick around I may be able to go after work but it depends where the wife is
I will send you an e-mail after I go look at it.

Man I looked at the car and all I can say is WHY!!!
It is two blocks from where I work so I stopped in on the way home.
All I can say is that for what David is paying he got a sweet deal.
David my offer still stands I will give you $700 right now
If you have time before you leave Lakeland give me a call and if I can get away I will meet you and say hello.

It will probably burn up - not wait, that's Phil. (GT Dude)

Sent the money Fed-Ex and hope to pick it up either Friday or Monday. I'd love to see all the folks that have helped me get this done.

I've been on a lot of different car forums, but this one is the best, and it's because of the people.

Maybe I can turn it around in time for Daytona.

Thanks,

David

Jake,

Go get it, I can't. Something has come up here that I've got to handle. I sent you and the dealer an email. Now if you want to swap it for my 87 GT...

Best,

David

I have been on the phone but no one is picking up.
I may drive down there and talk to them.
If they will work with me I will pick up the car after work Friday.
If they will not work with me I will probably go down and kick LeeRoy in the knee.

Dwilsonfl I will be getting the car tomorrow around 1:00. Like I told you in the e-mail it did start but the clutch is spongy and wont let me put it in gear.
Leeroy called today and the deal is on, same price he gave you.
I am stoked, I could hardly sleep last night. It is going to cost me $45 to get it to my house but it is worth it.
I was worried that because it started with a jump that they would back out of the deal.

If there is anything I can do for you just holler.

For everyone that looked in here we are talking about an 86 SE, its gold with tan interior.
It’s a 4 speed, the car is real clean and as soon as I get the clutch figured out it should make me a nice ride.

I will try to get some pictures as soon as I can.
This will make 4 Fiero’s now does that qualify as a Fleet?

The car is home.
It is great, I will post some pictures as soon as I can.
David thanks for letting me get in on this deal, I can only rate you once but you get a + from me.
