I would like to see some of my options for a replacement for my torn fascia. If I can get a deal on a stock gt nose I would do that but I havent had much luck so I want to go custom. Please post some pics of what you have done and what options are out there. Any help would be appreciated.
Otherwise, you can look into the Ferrari F355-style Fiberglass replacements. They are available from (again) Bob @ Twin Lakes Fiero and I believe Pisa also carries them. They typically run in the $400-$500 range (not including lights).
http://www.fibersmith.net has an aftermarket (Porsche?) style front Fascia - this is not a common one to see around. It us currently listed on sale for $500 (reg $600).
And then I believe Pisa also has avialable a new "import" style front bumber (which I don't recall it's name- scarab maybe?) which is in excess of $1000 last time I checked.
Thanks guys this is what I was after some inspiration! I really think mine is dead. I will try to get some pics later today but it is torn in two on the bottom right in the middle and the middle support is broken as well as tears on the right side. Ive seen the nose from fibersmith but I am really undecided about that one. That one blue import thing is sweet but out of range in price. I figure if I am going to spend 3 or 4 hundred on a stock nose I might as well go custom for 5 or 6. I like the molded in idea too My_fiero. I might be game for a custom build I have a friend with a fiberglass shop and could probably get one made from scratch. but that would take soooo long and a lot of $$. So I need lots of ideas. Thanks, keep em coming.
I have to point out that there is one thing that I don't particularily like about the F355 front ends (As well as many of the other aftermarket designs). They don't maintain the trim line around the car. Look at the seam in front of the front fender (where there used to be a factory trim piece/marker light). It's just smooth and the trim is absent.
The front fascia is taken off a Ferrari Kit which is available in Poland . I have taken a Masterform and I'm now in a position to manufacture those noses on demand . The production time is about 5 - 7 weeks , because I always trie to do 3 to 5 at once , so I have to collect orders up to 3sets than I can add 2 on my own risk . There is a similar fascia called the Euro Fascia Bumper in the US but the turning signal lights of the original can't be installed any longer . They have the turning signal lights in the front (in yellow), that was absolutely not my taste . So we change the upper front light to FORD Scorpio lights which have inner H7 Highbeam lights and the turning signal lights on the outside (but with yellow bulbs and clear lenses). The Fog lights (lower round lights) are Carello Lights from Italy, also OEM used in Ferrari Front Fascias.
Minngreen That thread was terrible. I was thinking how great that car looked and how I wanted mine to look like that. less the yellow. and then there it was all mangled...oh my how upsetting! I feel the same way about the marker lights. I wonder why it is that people dont maintain those in custom designs? Anyway I will post some pics of my mangled front later on. Thanks for the great info. I am pretty much a full fledged fiero freak at this point.
Well is this one dead or is it worth messing with? BTW that is a twig on the top left and all the damage is visible in the pic. the rest of it is ok.
Ouch!
Hmmm... it probably could be fixed, but it'd probably be an awful lot of work- and may end costing you nearly as much as picking up a good condition one. And even if you did repair it, you'd always have to be concerned with finding evidence of the damage or having the repair not take.
Hey MinnGreenGT, What about that extension piece you have on your car under the stock GT front? I see lots of people with them. Where do you get those from?

It's generally referred to as a Skitime/Lawrence-style front air dam. It's actually made by cutting off & shaping the lower "trim" section of an aero fascia.
MinnGreenGT - you are in rare form on this thread You have all the answers and threads to point people in the right direction. I'd give you 10 Positives if Cliff had that option.
I'm thinking about a new facia for my coupe and your answers have been very helpfull. I can't decide on a GT Skittime nose or a F355.
------------------ If you find my advice useful, then please give me a positive rating, thanks...
and one more question coop, how much did it set you back shipping and all?
shipping was actually pretty cheap. I think it was 100 bucks at the most. As for the trim thing, i would love to continue the front trim into the bumper, like the black one did. It's just i don't want to mess up the bumper anymore than i have already done, so i'll just leave it as is. For a side marker though, i am going to put a custom one in, probably a small 1x2 inch square one, so atleast i will have a marker there...

Thanks for the compliment! When I first saw this thread, I immediately started writing what I knew (had to look up a couple of prices & websites, but at least I had a good idea as to where to look)- and it seems to have snowballed from there!
I'm just glad I can use all my links and quick-search skills to benefit people! Thanks again

Another thing I noticed about the F355 nose that I think needs some redesigning is the hood lines and curve. Notice the contrasting angle on the side shot. And also notice the 3 lines on the hood are not followed on the nose. Especially the one in the middle.
No offense to anyone, I love the f355 nose look, but not more than stock aero nose. At least not until these minor issues are taken care of anyways.
EDIT (forgot pics)
------------------
rebuilt 2.8 transplanted into 88 coupe, poly dogbone, poly suspension, rebuilt suspension, customized interior, ported ex manifolds, MSD coil, short shifter, converting to GT, K&N filter, 17" Enkies, underdrive pulley, more to come.

I believe that Denny Patton fixed a few of those "issues" with his 2nd (or was it 3rd?) design of the F355 nose. Denny sold his molds, and they are the ones being sold by Bob @ Twin Lakes Fiero...
These are two images of his nose- you can barely make out the "side" hood line on the raw photo, but you notice in the 2nd that there aren't the gaps that you see in other versions.
...still no trimline though
