Well, I had to pass on Carlisle as this is what I had for plans this weekend. I got home from work Friday afternoon and saw I had a slip from the Post Office. So I went to the Post Office and picked up a large package. It barely fit in the green beast.
So we did a test fit first
Then began the install
Dad was getting ready to go on Vaca but took some time to help me with the install

that looks sweet as hell. Is it open at the top to let air flow down?

I thought the shot they took over the hood of their pace was pretty sweet
They wanted to have a couple shots of the Indy with the scoop on the track, but some of the officials were on the track doing an inspection or something so they had me park up top with the track behind the Indy instead
And one last sweet shot of the pace cars together
A HUGE thank you goes out to Earl Rice (FieroGT87).
Now you know why I bought it. I had been looking for one with the lights for a couple of years, and when Beachbomb put his up for sale I had to buy it.
I've been looking off and on for a Indy with a automatic to rebuild with not much success. I think the auto Indy must be the rarest car out there .
I'm in no hurry to get it back for a little while. If you want to use it at a few shows and all go for it.

That looks really good. Too bad you couldn't make Carlisle but I guess you had something more important to do. Did you get the strobe lights to work, that would make an awesome picture. Put some sort of tire dressing on also, because your tires look a bit too much grey. You want your car to look its best in front of all the race fans. Have a blast pacing them.
WOW, that is beautiful!! I'm really impressed with the people on this forum sharing like this. Big plus to FieroGT87. I can't wait to see some pics of her on the track.

There is a guy in Sacramento, CA, that has a really nice auto he was selling. Let me know if you're interested, and I'll put you in touch with him.

Thanks to our friends at our local Autozone, here is what we are going to use to run the lights on the scoop with:
No having to run wires thru the firewall and have wires dangling inside the car or anything. Now, if it can just be nice weather for Saturday night. Remember, if it rains it will do one of two things, cancel it all together or just make the photo oportunity suck big time.

That won't interfere with the radio signals, will it? You will be in radio contact with race officials, right?
Hmmmm, I hadn't thought about that. Though it will only send a signal for a second when I push the bottons I guess. Oh well, too late to think about that now
Let us all pause now as we pray to the sun god and hope for nice weather on Saturday
