I lightened up a pic Boomtastic took, and it does look like a 88 cradle, theres a rear lateral link to the LR wheel, and if you look real close at the front upper edge of the muffler / tailpipe you can see a hint of a rear sway bar.
Damn, most of these sweet protos seem to be built on the good ones!
That looks like size-wize like a T-25 turbo. Sweet!!!! Should put out like 18psi although on this setup it's more like 8psi.
More pics of the turbo are greatly appreciated!

That red turbo car has serious issues with it's wheels... why the hell can't anyone see that?
1st the offset is totally incorrect. Look at how far the wheels stick out of the wells.
2nd the camber is way too positive on the rear. makes the wheels look like a V.
3rd Like all production fieros, the wheel gap is equilv to a 4x4.
I noticed it right off the bat, and at first thought there wasn't any drive train in the car, but then I read in another tread that all the prototypes moved under their own power.
Obviously the alignment is off on the rear of that, but not many people are going to hack the car up because of that. Maybe they were doing something to it, and fired it back together in time for the show?
I noticed on several of the cars they have new tires, and new batteries, so obviously they have been tinkering with these things some amount.
I would imagine that any number of the prototypes have some issues with them, but who really cares, Most of us are thankful that GM even brought these cars in what ever condition they are in, and in the case of the turbo car, who cares a whole lot if it's out of alignment, it's not like they are going to be driving it much.
Calm down jaei sun, I'm sure if we looked, we could find something about your car we could complain about. , but we aren't going to.
To be honest, I have yet to see a 100% perfect Fiero, but one can't expect that.

A bunch of us went over this car with a fine tooth comb. It was kinda a mutt that looked like it was once an experimental developmental mule. It has been pushed HARD in it's life because it showed about 5000 miles on the dash and the engine was leaking a little bit of oil onto the pavement and was pretty worn looking in some areas. It was an early frame (it had the '84-'87 front brakes and suspension) and it had a '88-LIKE rear suspension with '88 rear brakes. The reason I say it was '88-like is because the suspension links were slightly longer than what is on real '88's and the cradle had aluminum bushings in it. What we could have been looking at very well could have been the developmental mule for the '88 rear suspension. This is just a theory, but it had some markings on it that had a build date of sometime in 1986, and it had sort of an "in between the '87 and '88" look to it.
The tires were Kumho Ecsta Supras, so yea...there were new tires on it.
