Maybe we could get a transcript of teh banquet (or if someone wants to upload a video?)

Hopefully we'll have more info by tonight or tomorrow morning. Most people are probably still driving home right now.

fierce_gt from WFOG (Winnipeg Fiero Owners Group) won the work in progress category I hear.

A yellow 85GT with a nice custom interior that he's been working on.

Congratulations Scott!

I don't have a "list" with me, but I have the entire awards ceremony on digital video. It lasts nearly an hour, so there will not be a downloadable version, and it would be tough to get you guys a list of winners off of the tape. However, if anyone who won an award wants me to send them their own clip, just ask.

truthfully all the winners had nice cars, but i feel the judging did have some problems, it was hot outside, and the judges were getting impatient after the first 300 or so cars, the later in the day it got the faster they moved them through. so the later cars got judged alittle "unfairly" I knew my car wouldnt win any awards as the paint was horrible. but it had Excellent interior and they only gave me a 2 outta 10 on interior, and a 2 on tires outta 5 and i just had the tires put on before i left for the show, so how do tires with 400 miles only get 2 out of 5?

anyways, the show winners did have BEAUTIFUL CARS.

hope everyone had a fun time.....

I took 2nd in class N-Semi-Custom. I have not seen any pics of my car in any of the treads. After the judging, I set up my display under the Marriot sign. Had the wheels off and my "carpet" down. "Fiero Addiction" Anyone have pics?

I know that Chris Isick (sp?) was 1st. I'm not sure which was his car. Anyone?

Daily Driver - Notchback
1st place was won by Don Hulse.
He's not on the net, but he's who I get most of my bits and pieces from.
He has a dark green 86 SE. I'll post pics when I can.

Congrats to all the winners!

I don't mean to nitpick here, but I believe the numbers I heard at the banquet were that 400 cars were in the show, but only 233 (or was it 266?) were judged. I'm not arguing with your point...just your number, since I believe less than 300 cars total were judged.

I think you have your numbers mixed up. I believe that there were 332 registered. I know that the person the judged my car said he did #319.

John:

Thank you for the compliment. You owned the Finale? I wanted so much to get over and talk to you. You learn so much when you compare notes. You also did a very nice job. Make sure you are at the show next year so we can meet.

Also, wouldn't have been helpful if people had their Pennock's username on their cars? There were just so many people I wanted to talk to but didn't know who they were.

At the banquet they announced that just over 400 Fieros were present (have it all on video) and that over 300 Fieros were judged (sorry but I do not remember the exact numbers off the top of head).
My Dad in his Blue GT was almost one of the last ones to be judged at about 3:15pm and I was near the end myself (around 2:00pm) to be judged. At 2:00pm they were saying that they had broken the 300 number mark of judged Fieros even at that point.

Now we just need number of entries for each class and a way to add pictures. I'm sure some of the forum members can help with the pics.

Edit:
and Sean Yoraway lost the #4 rod bearing not the piston.

Thanks, Steve. I know it was in the neighborhood of 400 entered, but I thought it was 2xx judged. I must have heard wrong. I would be interested in the exact numbers.
