Well there was some questions as to what was going to happen to the prototypes after the show.. some thought they would be crushed and there future not certain.. Well I talked to someone that i will leave nameless at this time and this is the very words from their e-mail to me..
Glad you enjoyed the cars for the time the vehicles have returned to the GM warehouse where they will be kept warm dry and clean, they will be started and ran every 30 days with oil changes every 6 months and a major check over every year. There is no plan at this time to remove any of the vehicles from the fleet. However if we do decide to remove one of more the will be scrapped, not sold or given a way
glad you enjoyed (name removed)
I was glad to hear this because there was some question as to what would happen to them. "Whew" now i can sleep a little better..

I hope everyone can now drop this crush deal now. GM is now and has been keeping most if not all of their show cars and hope to have a museum like the Walter Chrysler museum some day. They woke up in the late 70's and relized they scraped much of their history [like the Motorama cars]. GM has even gone to the effort to preserve some cars like the duel V6 Citation. This car was never shown on the show circuit but had two 60 degree 250 HP V6 engines, it was a test car for a possable duel engine Vette. The neat thing was the rear engine set up was very very close to the Fiero V6. Kid is correct on how they are maintained and preserved. I did read an magazine story on the GTS Corvettes from Pratt and Miller. The Daytona win car was going to a Museum in the GM headquarters in downtown Detroit, we might want to watch and see what they are doing. The Next large Fiero meet we might ask to see if they can bring out the P-2 prototype, it was not shown much and was built around 1984 and billed as a possable Fiero of the future show car that never went far. This car is running and is stored with the others. There are even pictures of Hulki looking the car over in some Fiero books. It was a mid engine 2 seater that looked like the GM EV-1. The 1990 was better looking and much more production ready, but it is a car most have never seen.
I enjoyed seeing them more then i can express in words and i think most of us did including those that weren't even there in person! Thanks for all your efforts with getting them there for us to all enjoy!
