Ok, you guys know how rabid I am about the 4.9 so much so in fact I have been chastised regarding my many post about it. Anyway, my car is at Ed Parks getting a 4.9 engine/heart transplant. Therefore, I could not drive it to the event, but I had to be there. So I traveled incognito driving my other car and all I can say is WOW. I can honestly say that I was impressed as much or moreso by the owners/attendees as I were with the cars. You guys are the nicest bunch of car owners around.

I was mildy surprised to see people who are bigger car nuts than I am. Now on to the real good stuff.

After talking to Rockcrawl about his car I asked if he could start it so I could hear it. He then upped the ante and said let's go for a ride. WOW, he just about gave me whiplash, that thing is silly fast.

Scott Perkins and Dan Bunker even let me drive theirs, I was in Fiero heaven. This is extraordinary when you consider we had never met or spoke prior to this event and for them to trust their babies with a stranger. WOW. Ed Parks also let me drive Rosie's 4.9 which drives like it has power steering, nice cars and people all.

I would also like to thank Jack Cooke, Skitime, Becky/Her86GT, California Kid, Fierosound, Kameo Kid, Ed Williams and Eric Bunker for introducing me to his dad which made that 4.9 drive possible.

I know I'm missing someone. However, it is not because I didn't appreciate your contribution it is only because I was so overwhelmed by the people and event it's hard to remember everyone.

Thanks

Rockcrawl and his "devil" powered machine can certainly give a huge ride. I am grins every time I get in it too, just the sound of it is soothing to the car guy within.

I think I got more enjoyment out of your reaction to a ride in my car than I had all weekend!

It was cool to finally meet Ed Parks, George Ryan, and lots of other people I've "known" for so long but never met.

I thoroughly enjoyed speaking to you and riding in your car, which has to be one of the fastest things outside of an amusement park.

Thanks again Rockcrawl

I picked up my 4.9 from Ed Parks and it runs great. I've had to teach quite a few drivers not to mess with a Fiero powered by a 4.9 Caddy eng.
