I went to the track last night and got a new personal best:
R/T .256
60’ 2.057
330 5.727
1/8 8.282
MPH 90.07
1000 10.642
1/4 12.634
MPH 113.39

I have a 3800 Series II SC, with a few upgrades.

I have to say I’m disappointed, but it is still my best track time. The car was running like a$$ and it had just rained so my 60’s were not the best. I come to find out that my intercooler was not flowing coolant, which I’m going to try to fix ASAP. You could feel the car pulling timing as I went down the track. I tried to fix the flow problem at the track, but with no success.

My best R/T was a .022 (.022, .184, .256, .031), at least I had some good reaction time.

There are only a few more track days before the end of the season, this car has way more in it, but we will have to see.

Thanks again to Purple Rein for letting use his shop yesterday. There would have been not track day if I have not been able to get the car up on the lift.

P.S.
Sorry I’m not posting these slips, my scanner is not hooked up right now and I really don't care if you don't believe me... If you’re in my area I’d be glad to show them to you.

It's nice that you have optimism that you can do better but 12.6 in the 1/4 mile is a very respectable time.

Your fiero runs 12s and you are complaining, I feel like I want to punch you. Haha, just a little jealousy from a nearly stock 16 second 2.8 owner

Good luck with your intercooler

Good job. Just remember, there's always next weekend. What other mods besides the IC?

I too would like to know what mods you have other then the IC. I would be upset too with that time. Look at the MPH!!! I run 12.4-12.5's at only 108 miles an hour. But I have 1.7 60 foot times. I think traction was killing you more than anything. Keep us posted when you get things worked out.

113mph?!?!? Thats an 11 sec mph, and your upset? Thats a great mph, I can see your upset cause the time doesn't add up. But with a better launch you will get the times you are looking for. Is it a manual or auto? If an auto, is it a 4T60E or 4T65E and what PCM are you using? Enquiring minds want to know! Keep it up!

Thanks Guys...
The 1/4 mile time itself does not really upset me, don't get me wrong I fully appreciate the car. A 12 sec Fiero puts a smile on my face, but... It's that I know the car is capable of so much more as is and after all the work I put into it. It is just disappointing, you know what I'm saying. Not to mention it takes me three hours to get to the track.

For my intercooler problem I'm going to take some queues from Skitime's IC install and put in the two fill points near the IC core, with clear braided hose for viewing. I thought at first I would not need them, but it looks like I was wrong. It happens... some days a lot!

Here is most of my mods (copy/paste):

I just found out that not only did the rain make the track slicker than snot, but for the Wednesday night drags they don't put down VHT traction compound. Which really is no big deal, but would explain my 60' times.

I put the two fill points inline just off the intercooler core, with a clear piece of braided hose. I have topped it off about 5 times(about an 1/8 cup each time), getting the little air bubbles out and it seems to be flowing well. I'm going to take it for a spin a little later and see how it goes.

I'm hoping to hit the track Sunday, but that is still up in the air.

Sorry I don't have any good pictures right now. I'll try to get some at the track on Sunday.

Oh, fieromadman if there is any parts missing from my car that's fine, there just be a better one in its place when your done.
