Wondering what I'm talking about? The "unofficial" DVD, it has a raw natural soundtrack (read.. no music and some audio edited out for language and what not..) Plenty of engine noise though.
Question: Why no music? Answer: You can always turn on a radio station or CD or something.. I didnt want my taste in music to detract from the actual content on the DVD, plus with music you might not be able to hear the portions with nice Revving going on..
Now why would I do this.. well 2 reasons
1: I see this as a chance for me to really help support PFF (and for everyone else to do the same and even get something in return) 2: Special footage exists on this DVD of all the Fieros that stopped in front of the Banner for the Commemerative 20th Picture some owners did not get a picture..**THIS IS THE ONLY VIDEO OF THAT PART OF THE SHOW (I shot 3 tapes of simply that!)**
How does this Benefit PFF you ask.. well 25% of the profit from each DVD will go to PFF. Purchase a DVD and support PFF in the process. its a win win situation.
Ladies and gentlemen without further ado I present to you 2 hours and 8 minutes of Fieros on DVD.
you can preview and purchase the title at http://www.customflix.com/205063 (has a trailer but they only allowed 1Min and ~1 MB in size so the moving video is not as great looking as it is on the DVD itself)
--------------------------------- Additional info.. The DVD is broken into 6 Menu items..on a motion background of the California Kid Pulling into the parking lot at Dusk..
Friday: Footage of Milan Dragstrip, and driving back to Pontiac from Milan, and a tour around the hotel lot.
Prototypes: Footage of all the Prototype cars (90, Convertable, Turbo Fiero, 2+2 Fiero, etc..)
Saturday: This is a walk around the "Field of Fieros" before the judging began.
Banner: This Is Special footage of all the cars that stopped in front of the 20th Banner (after judging) in the banner segment each car has approximately 5 seconds of screen time (some more recognizable cars got a extra time) this is the ONLY footage of this type..
Hulki & Parki Speak: Unedited Banquet speech given by Hulki and Parki (about 49 minutes long).
Sunday: Being the final day where people were packing and leaving. I switched on the camera and got some groups of Fiero's departing. Skitime putting the pedal to the metal, Chris moore N* (he lays on the gas too...) and many many more..
Play a menu item, it will play all footage from that point on... (Friday would go Friday to Sunday [128 minutes total], where as Speech would do itself and then Sunday only[~64mins])
**If all goes well within the next few weeks I should have a VHS Version, but it will probably not include as much footage. Due to having to submit a master on DVD for replication**
Thank you for reading my long winded post,
-Darius (guy wearing the Flaghat @ the 20th.. count the times you actually see me in the video..)
Edit: add this full cover view

I have looked at an advance copy of the DVD. I haven't viewed the entire thing yet.....just the important stuff (like my convertible at he drag strip ), but what I did see was great!
Well worth the $$, especially since 1/4 of it goes to Cliff.

She ordered one of the "Official CFOGI Sanctioned" DVDs.. I was not taking pre-orders at the show (unfortunately). I think the "official" one is slated for December time frame, that is Sastian's work...I hope that helps.

Ill take one. Where do I send a money order/check?

Sweet! Really looking forward to it On the preview, the last 3 cars you see drive out are FieroHoho (Red Coupe), Me (GreenGT), and my Dad (Silver T-Top GT).
Just placed my order - I see it says 2-3 business days to be shipped, then 2-4 business days actual shipping time. Guess I'll be looking for it in 4-7 business days
Sweet! Just ordered a copy. My main DVD player (5 disc Panasonic) is rated as "bad" though. The cheapo Apex player destined for the Fiero is rated "good" however, and hopefully my HP laptop will play it too. Can't wait to check it out! And support PFF again this month.

I will check this thread at least 2 times a day. I'm going to repeat myself, because I want to make sure there is no confusion.
THIS IS NOT THE OFFICIAL COMMEMERATIVE DVD supported by CFOGi, this is all my own personal footage. In fact I plan on purchasing a "Official" one when they are released..
OK let me address the questions accordingly.
The Checkout is on a secure page, when you click to check out, it prompts you if you want to accept the nonsecure items just say no..and you will be secure.. its only a few images on the page that when they coded their stuff didnt pass through https.. but otherwise it is secure (just tested it myself) I do understand the concern though and thank you for bringing it to my attention, so that i could clear it up.
I hope this helps address that issue.
Money orders: I'm looking at possibly accepting the money orders to my house then I would just use my check card to individually send stuff to those who ordered..Customflix is a replicator who packages and ships, and had the ability to accept credit cards so it made it easier to get this out to the Fiero Public. I have to check a few more things to see if I can do money orders and need to develop a plan so I could do it without a hitch.. bear with me please.
I think my Dad (87V6GT) is trying to order one BTW: Can you make other DVD's for people if someone supplies you with a DV tape of the footage? If so, PM or e-mail me as where I work the music dept is looking to hire someone.
Let me know.

What is the delivery time? I can't wait to also be able to get the one that is apparently coming out around December that is being called the "official" 20th DVD. I like the fact that we have more than one place/person that is offering the ability to obtain for their viewing pleasure a variety of different footage that was taken at the 20th. I know that a lot of people took a lot of footage at the 20th, so maybe more people will continue to come forward and make there footage available to some of us that still just can't enough of the 20th. Being a once in a lifetime event afterall, you just can't have enough pics/footage from that awesome Fiero event
I shot a bunch of DV tapes of hours and hours of the 20th myself, with some great footage of the night life well after midnight into the wee hours of the morning that is a blast to watch. Seeing Skitimes red neons all over his sweet ride all lit up, and with all the other Fieros that neons or lights lit up and a few Indy Fieros with the pace lights flashing and so forth in the night is just awesome to see on film. Maybe I can get my act together sometime and try offer all of my footage on VHS and/or DVD at some point too
Thanks for offering the ability for us Fiero lovers to obtain a copy of your 20th footage Unltd1. We Fiero lovers really appreciate it

CustomFlix has this title on hold. The title is put on hold by CustomFlix until we receive materials from a producer, for copyright violations, for payment issues, etc. If you have questions about why this title is on hold,

Copyright violations? This is his own footage he filmed at the 20th, right? How on earth can there be any copyright violations on video he filmed himself?

OK, I went home over lunch and watched some of it. It worked perfectly in my (less-than-a-year-old) Panasonic (or was it Pioneer, now I don't recall for sure) DVD player. I'll test it later in my in-car PS2 and see how it does there. In any case, it looked awesome, clear, & smooth on my 36" Sony Trinitron TV...
[nostalgic]...ahhh, the memories [/nostalgic]
It was really cool watching that stuff again! I watched most of Saturday's show coverage & photos by the banner in FF to see as much as I could quickly. And then some of Sunday's departure (had to see "me" again LOL). It was pretty funny to hear the music so clearly from FieroHoho's car as he drove by Darius with the camera.
I'm really looking forward to watching Hulki's speech & the in-depth pics of the '90 Prototype too!
So far no complaints at all (except the slight possibility of motion sickness when watching some of the footage in 8x FastForward mode while eating ).
All in all, (2 Thumbs up) from me!

Yeah I really wanted to get the walking around footage (and wanted to keep the speech 4 sure!), and wasn't going to have the length of time in the clarity I wanted... so I 2x'd it(made it double speed)...I knew I should have put a warning label so that people with heart trouble, who may be pregnant, etc would know that they couldnt ride....er watch..

You should be able to order it internationally.. I don't know what shipping will be like but it does say the titles can be shipped internationally in the FAQs..
Also this disc is not Region encoded (which is a good thing), this allows it to be read in any player that can read DVD-R discs (if you look at the compatibility list you will know..).
If you can't get it shipped to you let me know and we will see what we can get going for you overseas fierophiles.

I got my DVD today!! Excellent footage to see what was going on while we were busy doing other things. A nice touch to add to all the pictures and video that I have compiled from the event. Good quality raw video with no frills; worth the $20.
