Has anyone check-out Decah Vertical door conversion kit in Largo FL?

I talked to a guy named Noah, he said several guys with Fiero's called in the past with inquiries...but no takers. Noah said that its do-able however, he would need a car.

The over-all weight gain is approx 30+ Ilbs and it would clear. On the site, there are examples of various car conversions, one a Ford Mustang. The price stated:$2,000 discounted. Once applications were made, it will be a bolt-on.

Question: Could someone check-it out for me and maybe for others? Yeah, yeah, yeah...you don't have to buy anything just, window shopping, he,he. Just bring your Fiero there for a visual lookie-loe. Dont worry your car wont get raped.

P.S. I checked with Street Dreams and I give them much luv but....their taking way too long.

Have you cheked into AutoLoc's products too? http://www.autoloc.com or more specifically: http://www.autoloc.com/products/lambo.lasso

Although they're a bit more expensive, they have a very good reputation in the HotRod, Import, and "Monster Garage" markets.

I personally have good faith in Street Dreams as well

Okay I called Auto-loc...results

options....Manual or electric.
Price $2000
Instalation....shop or weekend warrior.
Life time on parts.

Compared to Decah...For the Fiero In-house only.
Price $2000
Options....manual only (for now).
parts (6) months.

Conclusion....If I lived in FL, I would be there with bells on! But my car is only 1300-1500 miles away. Tempting?

Are there any PFF members in/near Lardo FL?

If so, could someone check Decah out for me?

Okay, I took some pics...nice shop with cool cars in back.
When I arrived there was a nearly completed red Prowler
w/shaved pop'd doors....can I say "clean." I got in the
Prowler for a quickie feel.

The A-piller was far enough forward for me, however with
the Fiero it would be more room due to the B-piller closer
to the seat. Noah gave compliments to V8Archie on the chop
and Design 1 system on the engine.

Cost? 2g's

The drive out there? (2) near misses. One person looking
at the darn car while driving and a semi nearly nail'd me.

Is it.. worth it? Priceless.

A few years ago I saw a lambo door kit on a Fiero on a company's web site. They sell all kinds of door hinges. I did not like it but to each his own. I think the car was a bone stock red notch with the 14 inch aluminum Turbo wheels. If the car were done up real nice maybe it would have made a different impression on me.

Curly, if Auto-loc had an automatic version, why did you not go with them ? Push button lambo doors would be soooo cool (not to take anything away from the manual ones) ...

I'd seen Auto loc's VDC with auto, the construction of the hindges are totally different vs Decah's. MinnGreenGT posted a link to their site. I don't know who's VDC weights the most? But my #1 reason for using Car Excess is a "in-house" install vs. Auto loc....you're on your own. Besides, Car Excess will be offering a bolt-on automatic kit later this year. I'll hopefullly wait and put one on the other Fiero.
Sorry for taking so long to answer this thread.....I had forgot about it.
