Just wanted to make this post about the blower motor resistors, smoke, and potential fires. I know this happens to be an extreme case, where its more than just leaves and such falling into place, but its always good to pull the blower motor just to clean it out as a maintnence proceedure. Hope your smoke isn't the same that mine was..

Iv'e seen close, but that is #1 so far. I could never get the smell of bird out of my 85 2m? till the heater core popped. Then it smelled like birds and coolant. I miss that car!
