Like to see some engine bays w/ a 4 cylinder in there. Here's mine to start, an 86 2M4 w/ a 2.5L (a $125 short block from an 86 Olds) that I rebuilt myself.

I'm guessing you are talking about the hobbs switch on the side of the intake pipe. It's to control the secondary fuel injectory at a certain amount of boost pressure.

Just like you imply, first you must stop the leaking. When we picked up my wife's coupe, it was a mess. We had to replace the front & rear main seal, re-seal the timing cover, the valve cover & the oil pan and the transmission output shafts. It was dripping on the exhaust and was a fire waiting to happen. Now it stays nice & clean like in the pictures. Once you stop the oil leaks, and give the engine a through cleaning, you can easily keep it touched up with some simple green and a hose.

This is my '86 I recently got. It does not look too oily, just dirty. Sorry for the large size, I dont have a program here that can make the pic smaller (Windows 98, with no software).
Dog bone, dipsticks, heat shields, 2 mirrors under deck cover, valve cover, strut covers, bolts and screws, entire air cleaner assembly. Can't remember what else. All the aluminum has been polished to look like shiny like chrome.
