Well, if I can say so myself, The Rally Through the Valley came of relatively hitchless. We wound up with 10 Fieros making the run, with Bob taking up the rear in the Command Central Civic. The weather was a bit warmer then predicted, and my car gobbled another thermostat, but that seemed to have been the only mechanical difficulty.

I only took a couple of pictures, being too busy having fun driving, but I know that quite a few cameras were snapping, so let's see some pics!

Also, any suggestions about how we can have a better event next time would be welcome. I think planning farther then six months ahead of time and sending daily reminders to guys named Steve in San Ramon would be a start...

no pics currently... but as soon as I get ahold of the program to edit the footage I took, I might just make a cd and have my friends burn it for those that would like one... or send it to someone who could host it. haha *shrugs* or I could just take stills. :P Jeff, you know you're going to be on there!!! Bear too.

I had a good time, even if I only was there for dinner and afterwards. Wish I'd known you guys were leaving later, I coulda done the run in the Grand Am GT. It woulda kept up.

FYI, I hope to have my 3.4 in perfect running order inside of 2 weeks and plan to do my own rally cause it sounds like those roads were awesome. Gotta break in those aluminum cradle bushings and that rear sway bar. Anyone who wants to come with is invited. I'm just doing a one day thing cause San Juan Bautista is only 30-40 minutes away for me. I'm gonna be haulin a$$, just in case anyone was thinkin about taking a nice slow cruise through the valley

Well as of noon today my hood was back on and I was ready to roll. Your fault, you planned it a day and a half too early.

The start of Carmel Valley Road. There aren't many pix from here, because my wife was holding on, instead of holding the camera. This is one GREAT sports car road.

Normally in September.

We may do some more informal/one-day backroad drives in the meantime.

Thanks for putting this thing together, Stimpy. It was great meeting everyone and the drive was some of the most fun I've had in awhile.

Here's some pics from the run:

Taking a break in the shade as the slow group arrives.

Waiting up for the slow group again at 25 and 198.

John's car looks pretty as the slow group arrives.

I'm glad you could make it, and that you had a good time.

As for WestFest, I'm hoping for 50+ fieros.

I'm glad I made it too. definately beats sitting around all weekend, worrying about my AP test tomorrow. :-D but the good thing is, I get a luncheon afterwards, then... I ditch the rest of school, because of a 'doctors appt'. :-D this monday may turn out right.

Yup. The Fiero seems to be about the right height for a step stool ;-). I figured the worst I could do is scratch my shoes on the OEM sandpaper, er, clearcoat on the roof.

lots of fun stimpy!! Thanks.

I don't get to play with other fieros very often. The ricers around here drive to slow and they can't drive to save their life. And the vettes wont play cause they spent to much on their car.The cops are always interested but they don't have a sense of humor.
So that was the most fun i've had in awhile.

Spddy, you've heard rubbing is racing right? well we didn't touch so we were just cruising. If you wanna cruise again i'm in.I know you won't hit the brakes.

fierobear and I were talking about setting up a day trip of just fast movers sometime. That sounds good to me.
If anybody is interested in in that lets talk about it.

Thanks again stimpy,Great job!!!!!!!1

I had the only car with a swap in it. I'd have to say Andrew (pokey) won the passing contest due to his complete lack of sanity versus oncoming traffic at 100 mph.

YES! Count me in! I'm gonna Rally the valley myself in a week or two when mines running right and I'm gonna haul a lot of a$$ if you guys wanna come with. Any other a$$ hauling runs you guys wanna go on, let me know! I'm apparently not quite as crazy as Pokey behind the wheel, but I'm up there.

hey fellas your giving every body the wrong idea here.
I wouldn't say i was krazy.Id say aggressive is more like it.
People that are reading this are getting this out of context.
I'm a very calm reasonable level headed responsible individule(ok take that with a grain of salt).
I sometimes take my life into situations that seem dangerous but thats not the case.I'm mostly in control.Almost always in fact.
I'll admit i have some issues but i keep It in check pretty well. With the crap ive done if i was out of control id be dead.

Little goofy maybe but not krazy.People that drive with me actually feel pretty safe after thet realize they are not going to die after all.

So i guees i'm not going to change at this stage of my life so if i get a little to close to the edge i hope you guys will pull me back and tell me to chill a bit.I'm sane just need a little help now and again.

That sux... I wish I could have come up there, that would have been kewl... I could have borrowed Tinnay's trailer, and parked the truck looking like it was "broken down" way ahead of you guys, and given you a massive traffic break..

Definately will be at WestFest though... That's kewl!

------------------
"Real American Heroes - Today we solute you, Mr. Ford Truck Towing A Fiero Guy. When most people don't even know what a Fiero is, let alone just where the motor is, you seem to somehow fit right in. You see the looks people give to that car with the PIAA light conversion, the 2" drop springs, big scoops on the hood, and the 19" tires that are bigger than the car itself, and get a kick out of their reactions. You get all warm and gooshy inside by knowing you help out children in need by putting smiles on their faces, whenever you drive by with that car on the trailer all lit up with neon. A car that isn't made anymore, is kept alive by being the prize posession of most of their owners who spend 5 times more than what they paid for them to gain a few more horsepower, and loose a couple seconds off their 1/4 mile. You help them save their paychecks on tow bills by being the "Fieros West & WCF Support Vehicle". So crack open a drink, Fiero Tower Guy, and know that the Fiero community appreciates your participation & support. If it wasn't for you, we wouldn't be able to show Corvettes and Porches just how Mean the "M" in 2M6 can get!

Man....that looks like sooooo much fun!!! I wish I could have gone.... BUT HEY! Next spring/Summer....if this event goes down, I'm feelin a road trip out there to tag along with you guys. Psht...you'll all be in the 'slow group' when I arrive...to quite my mom "YOU GO WAY TOO FAST!!!! >.<" Yet, I always thought of 30 over as "Okay" in most places... :P :P :P :P LoL, nah...I'll prolly have engine troubles (as usual) and be in last place (if I don't break down out in the middle of B.F.E., CA all by myself) ::SIGH:: oh well, I can't wait either way!!! I'm out there....I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO out there....^.^ -Ben
