Hey, that looks like how mine was before I painted it, lol. A bit of advice though, choose your paint supplier wisely, I painted mine in December, and it still hasnt hardened.... Why I ask Sherin Williams? Because the idiot mixed it wrong....... You can literaly sink your fingernail right into it, and I've had water spots leave permenant marks.... Now I get to take it all back apart again, SOMEHOW strip all this bad paint off (though I was told byy SW if you get the clearcoat off, you can wipe the base coat off with a wet towell.....) and then repaint it. FUNFUN!!! BTW, SW told me they'd give me paint to fix it, but since it wasnt thier fault to talk to the shop owner. The shop owner told me to go F*** myself...... I told him Ill see you in court. We'll see how this turns out in a week or two
Little bit of venting, little bit of advice....

Mixing clearcoats correctly is critical. No margin for error, or you have the problems your talking about. Good luck getting it all off, metal car is easier, razor blade scraper works good. That will be tricky though with a 'plastic car'. You might try one of those heated scrapers on it they use to strip furniture. Dont use any chemical stripper. A good possibity is what lots of my vette guys do, walnut shell blasting. No body damage and takes it off clean. Maybe a few hundred dollars.
Looks like too much fun! Be prepared for rivit city. You need to take some of the old rivits to the local body shop supply place and match them up. You'll most likely have to use a professional rivit tool for re-assembly. Figure for extra rivits because sometimes they don't always agree with where you try to rivit them. Can't wait to see more pics. Keep us posted.

Thanks, but the pics don't really do the color justice, the closests thing to the actual color is the first pic, but it is still more vibrant than that.
Beautiful! I've been waiting for someone to finish a generally-stock-bodied Fiero in that color (there is a finale & fino in simliar colors). And the wheels make a great addition - I can hardly wait to get mine!
Very Sweet color.. That color is one of the 4 that is on my list when I do mine... What company makes that paint..?? ( I may have missed it, sorry) What wheel's are those..??
Steve
ps. Now my daughter.. Ciara who's 8 has a few comment's about it... WARNING: lol
Golden86, I love your car and your color. I wish my Daddy would paint his car like yours !!!!

Thank you very much for all the great comments, especially Ciara . The paint is a factory GM color, but I got my paint from standox, a sub-division of Dupont from germany, an AMAZING paint, but very pricy. I used a grey primer in some spots, and the factory paint in others. The wheels are 18x7.5 BSA 214's. You can get a closer look if you are going to the dells, I shouldn't be that hard to find. Thanks again.

Great work!
I must most definitely agree, although its just slightly off of our color. Just a hint darker i believe. But I actually think that there was one at the 20th from somewhere in Canada that had almost the exact same color. Looked gorgeous... 86 GT I believe it was. Major thumbs up on the look of the car as a whole.

Man I was happy till I saw what you did to your car, I wanted to do it. Looks great man. I saw this at the Knotts show and my wife and I are still debating between this and another (undisclosed) color/colors
Looks really good. alot better then the orignal Gold.... I kinda think the factory colors are a little bland with the exception to the blue, yellow, and Maroon.

Thanks for all the GREAT compliments, I really like how it turned out, my mom hates the color, same with my cousins girlfriend and her sister, it might be that its not that appealing to woman. Ah who cares, I personally love it. You think I have a chance at some car shows, becaue when I was at the last fierorama, it was completely stock, but I didn't win anything, but I really didn't care it was my first show, and it was great. I can't wait till the Dells this year, I hear it's amazing.

Actally I got the idea to buy my rims from just seeing your yellow car, it was a HUGE inspiration for my car. I usually don't like notchies, but I LOVE your yellow car, just amazing.
