$750 sounds too cheap - I think Curley paid something like $2000 but that was also installed. Still, a cheaper kit might be a "universal" kit needing a lot of modification and trail and error. Do a search and read up on MadCurl's thread.
Marty - welcome to the forum ! By the way, that Euro interior I got from John R. is turning out BEAUTIFUL ...

These look COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from the one's like B&B are offering now... What are those 'plates' for..?? It look's like you must weld the 'plates' on the spaceframe and THEN bolt the hinges to them and the door's..?? anyone..??
These are more likely to go on my Fiero then the HIGHER priced one's.... NOT because of quality different or anything like that, just because I could more likely afford these then the other's....
OH, Street dream's set does not open up the 1 1/2 feet BEFORE raising up... they just go up, NOT really out!! Here's the SD Video.... http://www.iserv.net/~strdream/gr_hinge/fiero_door_open_sm.mpg ------------------ aka."SmoothGT" Custom Built -- W I D E B O D Y** ~ GT!! One of One!!
** = 2nd WideBody Version coming soon...

That is definitely a street dreams kit - although I'm not sure the seller is actually street dreams. The price is the same as SD charges... and the kit is all the parts Ross includes in his kit.
Anyway - I have this kit and discussed it (and specifically selling it) recently: https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum1/HTML/040280.html I was just asked recently - and I actually still have this in my garage, and I'm still willing to sell it for the $600 + S&H listed... shoot me a PM - 1st to send payment gets it!
Aside from the red Fiero shown (SD's "test mule")... I've never seen one installed on another car. The parts are all of top quality, but this isn't a "bolt - in" kit like Decah's - it requires some fabrication.

Just to note... the kit is no different now than when he 1st began producing it - it's just as I mentioned, this isn't a bolt-in kit!
What is the "Operating Difference' between these and the VDC's..?? Does this one not open then go up...??
Correct... the Decah system opens the door normally, then up at an angle - the Street Dreams system has a custom machined hinge that just swings the door an angle...

These dont seem to open very far. Does anyone have more pics, or know someone who as them? Do they require effort to lift? cause the guy keeps his hand on them in the video, I dont know if the'll open too fast or what. Id be shaving the door handles if I got em, and using a remote opener, so thed have to open on thier own okay...

So, IF they just swing ^up^ then how do they release themselves from the 'post'..?? I can't picture what you mean... Does ANYONE have a picture of these mouted on the Fiero WITHOUT a door mounted yet..??? Thats what we need to get a visual... Thanks Rob!

As to effort - the kit I had included two pair of gas struts, and Street Dreams can supply you with ones for heavier load if you have some added weight in your door. The door does stay open on it's own (although in some of the "early" photos they didn't have the shocks attached yet, so it was propped open).

(Per Ross @ Street Dreams) There are no changes made to latch & post mechanism - it operates correctly without any modifications.
As for further pics - aside from Ross's test car, I have yet to see another completed setup (but hopefully we will soon)...
