Has anyone taken a 3.4 and destroked it to a 3.1 with a 2.8 crank?

seemed to me this would be a more rev happy setup - would this really hold any advantage for a turbo pushrod setup?

I'm still at a toss up between a turbo stock looking engine and a 4.9 build up

The 660 is allready rev happy. 7000 rpm 300 hp pushrod motor or 4000 rpm 200hp V8....you do the math

IIRC from having my 3.4 opened up during the swap, the 3.4 and 2.8 use the same crank.

the 3.1 and 3.4 use the same crank
3.1 is just a stroked 2.8

but after looking into engine pricing more i've lost interest in keeping it looking stock
if i find a cheap 3800SC i'll spend the winter prepping it for a swap

How about a 400sbc with a 327 crank?

Thats what I wanna build for my next V8 car. I already have the Kit, now I just need the car.
