Ok I started installing the turbo I got from Oslo a few months ago. Here are some pics of how everythign is coming along.
It's comign along really good so far. Tomorrow me and a few friends are gonna install all the rest od the kit and the oil return line needs to be put in. Shoulden't take to long to do. Then its off to the exhaust shop for a custom downpipe to be made. Then for the tuning. I'll keep everyone posted on the progress.
Glad to see that the kit staying alive! Have fun and good luck! Installing it is the easy part!
To answer the questions, the kit is a custom kit made by BV Motorsports (Forum Member) which uses an IHI RHB6 turbocharger. This kit was custom developed by steve (BV) sold to me, and when I quit wanting my 4cyl coupe, I sold the kit to frank.
GO TURBO DUKE!
edit: Here's a pic of what it looked like on my car:
I really do miss that setup... I'm definitely going to do it again... someday ------------------

Thank you everyone for the support. Oslo the installation is going great. I have two of my friends helping me out installing it. Its been a very fun weekend. Haven't had any trouble yet installing it except my exhaust was rusted toghether. I will be keeping everyone posted on this including the final pics of the install. Hey Coop you should come over on Friday this week and check it out. Its always a car fest at my house. Jncomutt I wish I could get a 2 BAR MAP but as far as I know no one can reprogram the duke computer. We got the turbo and manifold in today. Gonna take a break from it till Friday. Working nights suck. I will have more pics on Friday night or Saturday. Can't wait till it is running. I estimate it will be completed by mid next week. Anyone going to the Glen here in NY will get to be the first to see it go.

Not to shore yet of what the performance will be. I do plan on getting it dynoed and running it at the track when its done. Oslo may no more on HP numbers. I estimate around 150 HP which I would say is pretty good for a duke. As an update the whole thing should be done by mid next week. Its just a matter now of getting the custom downpipe made up. New pics will be posted on Saturday night.
Heres some more pics that I just took. Everything is coming along really good but slowly. But it still should all be done by Friday. Just in time for Watkins Glen here in NY.

a lot of the honda guys use a scary engine management set up. they have speed density as well. they put a one way check valve in the map sensor vacuum line, and then they use a 10:1 rising rate fuel pressure regulator to force fuel into it.
I hope I make it to the Clen this Sunday NY_FIERO. The car should be done by Friday I hope. Right now we are having some trouble dropping the oil pan. Its really in there good but we will figure it out tomorrow night. If we can get the return line in tomorrow night it will be ready to go. I really want to go to and show everyone the work. If I don't make it we will set up another meet sometime in the next 2 weeks or so. I will be at Carlisle definently so everyone will see me there. I may come to the Glen even if the car isen't ready. My friend and I are gonna work non stop tomorrow night to get it done. The problem is everything will be done by Friday but I need to go to the exhaust shop to have the custom downpipe made and the one here isen't open on the weekends. We will see what happens but so far it coming along slow but really really nice. I can't wait to drive it. Hope to see everyone at the Glen on Sunday with the Turbo Duke. Thanks for all the support from everyone. Will try to get up new pics tomorrow night.
Some things to look at doing: 1. Take off the U shaped really thin piece of metal that covers the tranny case. 2. Jack up the engine a little bit, and slide a solid piece of wood or metal across the strut towers and chain it up so you can remove the mounts and have everything out of the way. 3. Make sure the starter is out of the way. (If it's not already pulled...)

I really hope you built up that motor bud. If you did, more power to ya frank, and best of luck!!!
Also, to overcome the ECM issue with boosting the duke, try a piggyback ECM upgrade, like the greddy e-manage www.greddy.com
Or if you want to go stand alone system, and get all complex with it, try a Tec-3 or a Haltec unit. WCF sells Haltec I think.
You may just only need a Vortec Mechanical FMU. If that's the case, an 8:1 ratio unit should do. That's 8 lbs of fuel for every pound of boost.

Where can I get that duke kit I want more power but cant offored the big ingine coversions.
A few companies offered Duke turbo kits in the past (IRM and Pfaff Turbo) and a few companies have looked at making a kit since. I don't believe that the turbo kit shown in this post was fabricated by BV Motorsports. The problem is that bolt on Turbocharger kits range from $2500- $3500. Most Duke engined Fieros are not worth anywhere near that much. However, anyway you slice it , Horsepower costs money and there are few that would make the large investment for perhaps 135 HP on an engine that redlines at 4500 RPM and worth less than the cost of the kit. \ You can get the same power by bolting on a 50 HP Nitrous kit ( about $500) but don't run lean and watch the tach carefully!
Hey everyone. Still working on getting it running right. I am having some problems that just recently started. Oslo maybe you can help with this, I was just gonna PM you. I am runnign to lean even when the turbo is disconnected. I am in the process of replacing the O2 sensor. But when the car reaches normal running temp the manifold glows red. Not the turbo just the manifold. It those this even when the turbo is disconnected from the intake. It also smokes white smoke from the exhaust when it is under load and I am burning alot of oil. I'm in the process of getting another Fiero so I can put this one to the side and get it running right. But when all was runnign correct and the turbo was hooked up the car was very very fast. When it stops raining I will try to get more pics. Thank.

I had a bad computer cause this on an 85 5 spd non DIS... try spare if ou have one ...
thor842m4- This is a custom kit made by BV Motorsports that was a one-of-a-kind kit. It is not available anywhere. There is also no known company that produces a kit for the 2.5L fiero.
Frank- A few things to consider: Is your EGR valve disconnected? If it's blocked off, put it back on. Is the manifold secure? Any leaks? you'll be able to tell if you have a leak by unbolting the manifold and checking the gasket. you shouldn't have to remove anything. just slide it out and check it and slide it back in. Also, is the turbo connected tightly to the manifold? You can buy some exhaust gasket material and make your own for it (It should be simple to do since it's just a little square) if it's not tight there either.
Oil: Check the T fitting at the oil pressure switch. is it leaking? Check the top oil-in fitting on the turbo: is it leaking? Check the bottom oil-out fitting: is it leaking? Check the oil drain fitting on the pan: is it leaking?? If any of them are leaking at all, it's not good. Make sure you have thread sealant on all of them. Also, the duke valve cover is stamped steel and is very flexible. If it is not on just right you will seep oil out of the cover and it will pool on top of the head on top right next to the exhaust manifold. If you are not sure if you have the valve cover on right, ask.
As far as running lean goes... get an inline fuel pressure gauge and either mount it in the incoming fuel line to the throttle body, or just take a reading and make sure your TB is getting enough pressure. Maybe your fuel filter needs to be replaced. You may be able to find a chip for that computer somewhere that will upgrade your ECM's fuel and timing curves and that should make it run a little more rich. With the turbo, it's a good idea to have too much fuel rather than not enough.
That's about all I can think of.
On a side note, how's the BOV working? Have you considered moving the secondary fuel injector at all? How did you handle the turbo intake piping?
Good luck!!
:EDIT: I would suggest doing some looking around the internet for a spare turbocharger. I've seen them go on ebay for less than $75 dollars before. But you need to get the exact one that you're using. Turbos go through a lot of wear and tear and sometimes it's cheaper to buy a different one than to have them repaired. Just a suggestion. ------------------

Another thought: what did you do for spark plugs? Did you get colder plugs? Did you double check the gap on them? Have any of them fouled? (Causing lean cond.)
