After investing nearly a thousand bucks (more with shipping and duties) with the Fiero Store, the handling upgrade has begun. Today installed all new upper and lower ball joints, the tie rod package and a new steering damper in the front. Tomorrow same in the back plus the heavy duty rear sway and the strut tower brace followed by an alignment. Ah, and carbometallic brake pads all around...

EDIT: Guy in the pic isn't me. That's Dietmer from www.fiero-friends.de

Awesome, the set up looks pretty nice how long did it take you to get everything in, and what springs are you running?

About 2 hours each corner for removal, cleaning and installation. Springs are Eibach lowering springs for the Fiero.

New black carpet installed (Fiero Store). Man, I like this much better! Found USD 1.50 in US coins under the carpet. must be pre-1994...

Fiero Store heavy duty rear swaybar installed. You also see the new balljoints und my Koni shocks. Not visible is the new rear tie end package. Yeah, I know it looks rusty and oily, sorry about that...

Thats awesome............How do those Koni shocks and struts work for you? i was going to buy them, but they were about a couple hundred outta my price range .........anyways, i love what you are doing, if theres anything that i like better than an engine upgrade, its suspension work........Keep up the good work!

And the story continues...

Doing the laser alignment...

All together...

Can you already see the improved handling? :-)

Seriously, the car feels tight and the body roll is much reduced. No more clunking and clattering noises. Could be a real sportscar if you didn't know better :-) But people around here don't know...!

Yesterday morning did a quick oilchange with a K&N oilfilter and 4 quarts of 5w40, installed Rodney Dickmann's competition short shifter (pix to follow) and and hit the road to the nearest beach (Scheveningen in the Netherlands, about 2 hours). Car ran great. Here's s pic of the joys of the German Autobahn:
