I live here in Snowy New Hampshire and will be putting one of my Fieros in Storage the same as I do every year. However I just recently purchased another Fiero this year and will have to keep this one at my house. I need to purchase a portable garage that is totally inclosed (Except the floor as the ones I have seen don't offer this option).
Does anyone know one a reasonably priced one for under $300.00 that wont collapse on my car with some snow on it? I am thinking the round top kind so the snow will fall to the sides and I can clear it from there.
hey, im interested also in this type of a structure. does anyone have one that they store their car in? how durable are they is the big question, and how well do they keep out snow from the bottom? thanks!
Joel

I have one that my car has been in for a couple of years. The metal structure is very strong and has stood up to many very windy days, but the tarp shell stinks. I've gove through several tarps(yes, heavy duty) thrown over the top to keep the water out....they wear out too, every 6 months. When the roof tarp wears out, I pull the car out and then use it as a floor. It works.
They keep the wind out pretty well, mine has flaps on the side, but not on the ends.
I'm fed up with the tarp and will be making my own shell out of coroplast(corogated sign plastic - cheap & durable)

I've had one from www.harborfreight.com for almost a year and it's holding up great. We don't have much snow here so I can't comment on that but it is very sturdy. It also makes a decent paint booth if you hose it out.

my uncle has one here in Maine. From harbor freight and it has held up nicely. My suggestion to you though is to put some plastic on the floor under the car, alot of the time condensation will form throughout this garage and rain on your Fiero. The construction plastic will keep it somewhat dry in there, they will act like a green house.

I seem to remember a picture on here from a year or two ago, that showed a Fiero with a large hole in the windshield from one of these things... I think they had a heavy wet snow dumped on them, and the poles gave way... I've seen these things in person, though, and I think it would be a rare occasion, but keep in mind, it could happen.

I've been trying to figure out what I'm going to do to cover my car and these seem a lot better to me than a regular car cover, and not that much more expensive.
Thanks for the great idea!
