Well, it's not quite done yet but Orville's 2nd choptop is painted and almost reassembled... I've said in previous threads how he always amazes me with his work. The way he figured out how to make these headlights pop up at an angle was outrageous!

Here are some pictures from this stage. Of course there will be more as he progresses... As always I'll post a few here and the rest are in the directory to save on bandwidth.

The old pictures are numbered 1-7, and from 8 on out is new pictures.

Is it just me, or does the combination of the color of the car and the design of the hood vent together, look like a basketball?

WELL DONE!

the rear and sides are beautiful... the front in my opinion does not flow at all with the rest of the car.
but the amount of work put in is amazing. well done.

Not that it's any of my business but what does Orville do for a living? Please tell me that he's either an automotive designer of some sort of a custom builder. Anything else would be a waste of a huge talent. Kudos to Orville!! I'm amazed as always.

This has got to be Orville Wright's great grand son! Simply amazing. Very nice updates too.

Orville is retired now but I don't know what he used to do. Rie and I were talking about that yesterday. His talent for design and engineering is obvious. Hopefully he was somehow involved in that field. As I've mentioned before, he did his first full rebody from scratch over 20 years ago.

I love the back and sides. The front, IMHO, just does not seem to flow with the rest of the car.

Great work, though. Can't wait to see the finished product.

WOW!
Thanks for the pics.

The front end is just *slightly* too round for my tastes but overall it's an amazing looking machine!

I wish I had more time, money, resources, space,.....

This is great! A kind of Retro-Fiero...! The front is uh very different but I have seen pictures of the one he did before and it looks like he took it to the limit now... Soo nice to see these different ideas, good work!

I still think he should have gone with the stripes

Beautiful paint work, by the way. Top notch.

LOVE what he did with the sail panels. The exhaust is very unusual---are they quieter than average?

The front end is a little too extreme for me, but the rest of it is sweeet!

no doubt its great work... the only thing I think I dislike is how the style of the front end doesn't seem to match the rear. Not a huge fan of the circle vent on the hood either. Cool concept.

i want that color... do you have a name or a # for the paint its almost exactly what i have been looking for and i dont want to have to "deal" with the burnt orange that pontiac has right now. also i really like the way that the sail panel frame looks i think i might steal that look cause the lexan windows are expensive. also the aluminum vents and sail panels are great. truely a fiero wonder.
