anyone have an idea how difficult the wiring would be for 91 rx7 guage cluster?
(if it makes a difference it'll be infront of a 3.4tdc)

i know an intrigue cluster would be easier but it doesn't have all the aux guages like the rx7

I'd go with the RX-7 gauges if possible because they got it right, the tach is dead center.

I'm doing the 3000GT gauges myself.. Speedo is a direct plug in, haven't gotten the tach working yet. Gas gauge just needs to have the sender in the tank reversed. (same resistance as Fiero's, but F and E are reversed. I replaced my sender with a universal GM one, and it works perfectly) The water temp and oil pressure gauges interface directly to the Mitsubishi senders, so I will most likely just install the senders. (was going to build a circuit to convert GM sensor data to Mitsu gauge data, but is it really worth it??) The Boost gauge will need a seperate circuit, as it's driven by the Mitsu ECM. I'm working on that tonight. Also working on installing .28" blue LED displays in the faces of the stock Mitsu black gauges, which will display digital data along with the analog. Then I took the coloring off the back of the gauges, and installed Electroluminescent gauge faces behind the stock faces, which makes them glow a nice bright blue. Just need to get the needles blue now. If you want to really go crazy, install the Mitsu dash and steering column too. I'm workin on it...

I've decided to dismantle the stock guages and rearange them to a mroe modern layout with a angle smooth clear cover like the rx7's..

i've already got the designes i made for new guage faces for the fiero guages including the 8K tach and 150mph speedo

i'll use this as a build thread.. that digital readout is a good idea.. i've been thinking abour rewiring the door and trunk ajar switches to be seperate so that i can use a display showing which thing is open in the dash

That Gauge cluster is awsome!!! Now if only someone could make that work on a stock cluster,...Hmmm infront of a 3.4 TDC the tach could get some use. Now who to sucker into doing it first?... I mean I wonder is someone will make that work?

I'm actually now thinking about making them reverse indiglo style .. but would be a lot easier to just use a bunch of blue LED's to light it up

You may want to talk to Rickady88GT about that.
I have personally seen the...well, lets just say "hassle" that has gone into the Intrigue dash and I believe that it required the data line from the BCM as well as the ECM for it to run correctly.
Then, there is the difference between the 3.5 and the 3.8 dashes as well. They are not the same, as we went out to the yard and tore apart a 3.8, stripping it of dang near anything of value. Rick only found out later that they are not interchangeable.

I will say though, they do look GREAT in the Fiero...when he takes me out for a ride in the S*, I cant decide to watch the road, or the dash!
