i just need some help getting it going,
it is a custom "fit Kit" for after market din size head units
these are high quality and awsome i have one on the way gor my GTP, (the one that is illuminated and says "Grand Prix GTP")
i have been uin contact with the maker and we are going to try and get these going for the fiero
so i need from you guys:

a few GOOD qualitypics of the stock stereo installed in the fiero,
a pic of a removed headunit, WITH the mounting brackets attached to the deck,
and a pic of the head unit with like a tape measure for size referance of the hole mounting pointsIE how far apart the holes are and such

also i need like a downloadable link (so i can relay it on to him) Of the correct fiero font

here is a link to his site,
http://www.humount.com/
i think for some food ideas some good photoshoppers could make up some phrazes to put in there
like Fiero GT, or
SUPERCHARGED
or EXCITMENT
ect...
i think there will only be a few chioces biengs it is lazer cut out of aluminum
and then the finish is a choice of black, which i think that it is just like spray in truck bead liner over the aluminum,
brushed aluminum
or polished aluminum

these are a big hit with the Grand prix people and i think they would be a great addition to the fiero
im excited about this project, its not verry often new products come avab. for our cars, and i really like this, they are well built and high quality

lets see what we can come up with, and ill pass a link of this thread on to the maker, and hopfully there is enough intrest,(like i think there will be) we can get some stuff going

Rich,

I would love to get one for the GT.

Edit: Rich, it would set off that Alpine Stereo I bought from you nicely

Rich,

So Powder on the GTP forum makes those?

Do we contact him directly? If so, do you have his E-mail. I tried to get it but it wanted me to register, I really don't need to register with another forum.

Thanks,

Earl

Not a stock radio, but fits the same and is a GM radio.

I'd help out, but I don't have access to my car. I do have another radio like the one in the pic here, except it is a tape deck radio. I can measure the mounting points if needed, they are the same as a stock fiero radio.

If they make one I'd like to have one that says Formula or Fiero lit up in red.

Edit: Since all GM radios are the same, wouldn't he aleady have all the data he needs except for the Fiero font?

i just found a fiero deck, and in comparison to the GP deck they DO mount in the same (as best as i can tell)
so we just need an installed stereo pic, and the correct font

If he makes them I would for sure buy one in black with either Fiero or Fiero GT lit up in red.
Sorry, I don't have any pics of the stock radio installed.

Edit: I found this in the gallery if it helps

Rich, I think this is a cool idea. A couple things, when installing an aftermarket radio in the fiero you have to either use a kit that protrudes out approximately 3/4" or break off the rear mount bracket behind the stock radio to use an install kit that will mount the radio "flush" with the bezel. This may have been thought of, if so sorry.
Not meaning to hijack this but is along the same lines, what about a complete bezel that mounts a DIN radio in the center of the original location, so there is not a black space between the radio and bezel? << I would love to have myself.

Chris

I believe most GM cars have to have the back bracket removed to flush mount a din radio. I had to cut it out of my Grand Am when I made my own flat mount kit for that car. These do look real nice, how much would they cost with lighting?
