Got a new digital camera for my birthday on Thursday the sixth. Here are a couple pics........ This is my new house, We had it built for us. They started in June and we moved into it in September. Also got 10 1/2"' of snow on my birthday, I stayed home from work too......
Fierowise.....
Just started my 12" Corvette brake swap.... Drivers back brake,
I got both back brakes on in an afternoon. Still need to swap the lines for braided stainless and figure out the e-brake. I bought some Corvette e-brake cables to see if somehow they will work...
The fronts are a lot more work, it took all afternoon to get this far. I chose to trim the dust shield rather than delete it as it covers the inner portion of the hub.

I also mounted a functional Mustang scoop on the rear decklid but PIP says that picture is too big to post. How do I shrink my pics to fit with PIP? I took all of the pics at the same time and PIP wouldn't let me post them all. It said they were to big. The camera is set to take small pictures. How can some fit and others be too big...

It's transmission fluid stains, something else I will be redoing. Gonna run braided stainless from the 4T60E to the hard line on the frame. The rubber hose splices are leaking past the hose clamps....not bad but enough to drip.

I've been looking for a passenger outside door panel in gold without ground effects....very hard to find. Mine has a crack in it where a previous owner introduced it to a tree. I would like to meet you guys, you aren't that far away really.
i don;t have one, but i know where theres a 86sc (gold) that the owner tried to sell me about 2 years ago. probably ready to get rid of it. give me a call, and we'll hook up this weekend or something. (847-744-0916) or aim: Hutchmyster85
Functional Mustang rear decklid scoop....... That's right, it looks like everybody elses Mustang rear decklid scoop...except it's gold, how many gold ones have you seen...
Hi guys, Sorry it's been so long for the next update but here they are...... Three weeks ago I got all the Vette brake parts on my Fiero. We start to bleed the brakes and found out I had cracked a line under the master cylinder while moving them to hook up to the new master cylinder so I was through for the day....I ordered the whole brake line kit from the Fiero Store, costs about $159.00 and is total 303 stainless steel, cnc mandrell bent, even the wire windings over the lines...This set comes with every hard line on the Fiero, even the two short ones for the master cylinder to the proportioning valve. I was impressed with the set when I got it....they did have to bend the long lines to get them into the box but it wasn't a problem as they unbendt very easily. So I was just going to replace the front lines as they were the ones that cracked. But just in case I checked out the rear lines too.....At the back tee fitting on the passenger side of the car I heated them up with a propane torch to remove the fittings and when I turned the first fitting with a wrench the line just broke right off, so I tried the other two fittings and the same thing happened, they just broke...snapped right off. Good thing I checked cause they would have failed on the road and caused an accident... Two weeks ago I removed all the brake lines from the car...it took 4 hours to get it all off. One week ago we had a Saturday meeting all day at work and I couldn't work on it. Yesterday it took another 4 hours to put all the new lines onto the Fiero, I am very happy with the brake line set, it fit very well. Today we bleed the brakes again and had no problems, I didn't get to drive it yet as I have to put the rear inner fender liner back in and put the tires back on....The pedal is very firm and close to the top of it's travel... Sorry this is taking so long but I only work on it Saturdays...

Heh, I live in wauwatosa...a block away from westallis.
Yeah!!! They're finally done..... Finally got everything right and test drove it...they feel like big car brakes, very smooth and just the right amount of pedal pressure required to stop... Now the details... The rear brakes went on and worked slick as....well you know.... The front brakes were a problem area, I made both adaptors .875 thick per the Bubba instructions and wound up with a drivers side pad that was rubbing on the outside of the rotor and a passenger side that would'nt even bolt up without the caliper mount rubbing on the inside of the rotor. I guess it's just tolerances adding up, on the drivers side the problem was solved by shimming the adaptor mount out .005 more, then the pad stopped rubbing, on the passenger side I ended up milling the adaptor thickness down to .812 from .875, then it bolted together pretty good. The next problem came when I spun the rotor, it was rubbing radially on either the caliper mount or the caliper itself. It turned out to be rubbing on the caliper just a little, this was easily solved by grinding the rub spot off of the caliper( it was just a little, not enough to be dangerous...) I could also have made a new adaptor with the holes moved out a little but I didn't want to.... Was it worth it....Heck yeah.....
Now my Fiero is even cooler.... Now say it with me... '86 Fiero...Cadillac fuel injected 4.9/4T60E powered and 12" Corvette brakes for stopping
Hows that for "WOW" effect

Hope I can help if anybody else doing this has questions......
Next project...redoing my headliner...time to run the search program....
