Well, in follow up - - Ales called me last night as I drove (empty) from Baton Rouge to Shreveport LA to pick up a Corvette for delivery to Denver.
Anyway, he advise me that he has some time off next week, and both he and his lovely wife will be flying to Chicago to drive their new Archies conversion back to Mexico (instead of my hauling it to the border for them as we originally had planned).
Although their schedule hasn't been set yet, I would like to see if any Fiero owners in the following cities would like to meet with them for a cuppa coffee or a sandwich, and some good old fashioned commaderie (along with any and all tall tales about Fieros that can be thought up).
Their trip will take them along I-55 from Chicago to St. Louis, I-44 from St. Louis to Oklahoma City, and I-35 from Oklahoma City to Laredo. They would like to meet with folks somewhere around Bloomington IL (Dave, I can't find your contact info). Also in St Louis, Tulsa, Dallas/Ft. Worth, and Houston - and any other parts between that Fiero owners could meet them -.
I will try to be back in Tulsa to meet with them and set something up at that stop, who else is interested in meeting and chatting with Ales and Lulu anywhere else along their route??
G

Oklahoma City to Laredo will have you going through San Antonio. Houston will be 200 miles east of your route. San Antonio has the "Alamo Area Fieros Owners" (AAFO) club. Meetings are the last Sunday of the month. If by chance you could make the trip on the 16th or 17th of April, they are hosting THIS Your presence would be an added plus for those of us who are attending. You will meet many PFF members from the regional area. I am close to San Antonio, let me know when you are coming through.

I am 10 miles south of I-44 and 20 miles east of Joplin, MO I would be happy to give escort through the area. There are only a couple of Fieros in the area that I am aware of.

Yes, I will be there about 1:00pm. You can't leave until after I get there. (You'll know why when I see you.)
They arrived yesterday, They were a little tired from the flight but doing fine. Met him and his wife, Great people! Today he's in Milwaukee visiting. On Wednesday he'll be back at Archies to correct a suspension problem found when they went to do the alignment. He's planning on being in St. Louis by Thursday evening.

As Oreif said, we got to Chicago yesterday, we are right now on Milwaukee, but have to be back on wednesday to Archies shop to correct a suspension problem, but Im planning to be on the road on Thursday at first hour, so the schedule its like this :

We are planning to start driving about 9 am every day, all the stops are planned to be like 5 or 6 hours of driving plus lunch and some rest (dont want to miss the oportunity to met you all), so we are planning to be around 4 or 5 pm at most on each of this locations, and spend the night in a hotel nearby.
We hope to have the opportunity to spend a nice time with you all, probably have dinner, or get together for chattting about Fieros ...
So ...
R Runner and Fiero Finale I hope to meet you both in St. Louis (and anyone else that wants to join us ), any suggestions about were to meet or how ???
George, Ancaster, 3atsH0ndas, I hope to se you, and all other guys that wanted to meet with us on Friday in Tulsa are welcome too, any sugestions about how to meet or were ???

011 52 33 1152 1889 011 52 33 3589 5333
Oreif - Was great meeting you at Archies, I hope we can keep in touch.
Dave - Great meeting you too, I hope to see you in Bloomington on thursday ...
Sharon and I can make it. I suggest that we meet at exit 11 on Interstate 55 (Collinsville exit) The easiest place to meet is the Holiday Inn on the frontage road. Once you get off of the interstate, turn left at the light. Turn left again onto Eastport Plaza Drive. This is actually the frontage road. Follow the road around about 1/4 to 1/2 mile. the Holiday Inn in on the right. (There are no buildings on the left of this read because the interstate is there. We can meet there at 6:00 pm. After that we can choose a place to eat.
Thursday evening ... 6:00 pm
Ales and Fiero Finale ..... Sound good to you?
(PS - We will be driving a blue '87 GT)

As you come south on I-35, take the I-35 East leg of the split I-35 highway at Denton, Texas. This will take you through Dallas instead of Ft. Worth. You'll see by the map that both legs of I-35 (West and East) join up south of Ft. Worth and continue on so it is really not out of your way to come by the NTFC.
Look on the web site for the North Texas Fieros (NTFC) for exasct directions. It is Papa's Barbeque restaurant on Northwest Hwy in Dallas. Easy for you to get to. We will meet starting about 11:00 am and all will be there until about 1:30 to 2:00 pm. Go to mapquest.com for exact directions
We all look forward to seeing you.

I think the easiest place to meet the Tulsa folks would be at the Cracker Barrel, at the Memorial exit (Exit 232). If you leave St. Louis at 9:00AM, you should get to Tulsa around 2:30 or so. Would make for a late lunch, but should work out OK.
Exit 232 is a long ramp with a stoplight where it dead-ends into Memorial. Turn left and go to the next light. You will see a McDonalds at that corner, directly next door is the Cracker Barrel.
Heard you are passing through San Antonio on Sunday! Our meeting will be held from 3pm to 5pm at the Dennys Restaraunt located near the Hwy 90 West and Military Drive Intersection. If your heading west on Hwy 90, just exit the Military Drive, Lackland AFB exit and Dennys will be there on your right. We Fieros line up in back! PM also sent!
