I remember when I first came to PFF, the wood box center console prebuilt, I believe it was Pontiac Sound? I thought it was pontiacsound.com? But I'm not sure what happened. I can't seem to find any of these boxes anywhere either? The prebuilt, drilled, cut, upholstered, etc... How much are these going for and where can I find them?
Thanks a lot, Nate

I was the maker of the original one a long while back but discontinued them when a rash of immitations came onto the market. You can still buy fibreglass ones but they are very boxy shaped compared to my original. Try West Coast Fiero or Fibresmith.
Hey whats up I just orderd one from www.fibersmith.net. Pat the guy that owns and runs the company by himself is a really nice guy and responds to all of your emails personally. I paid 116 dollars Shipped!. If you go this route. And this goes to any of you tell him i recommended you. Even if you just email him about it. Later guys

you could just install one in the stock console. this is a 10" sub in the stock console. It's amazing what you can do with a Rotozip and determination.

Yea, I remember Pat sending me a quick response to all the emails I sent him asking questions. I ended up making a box myself, but if you don't have the skill or time, definetly consider fibersmith.net
I did look at Fibersmiths, and they do look really nice don't get me wrong. But I just remember the nice looking wood ones, covered in leather, or vinyl, or whatever u wanted. Cupholders or non etc... but they were wood and already upholsetred (sp?)

You should try to make your own. It's really simple. You just have to use your imagination. Look at how you want it shaped, get some paper, draw it out and build... Shouldn't be no longer than a day or two to complete.

I used to have one built for a 10" sub and I had it custom made so that it had plexiglass sides built into it to show off the cool chrome flame grill on the back of my Audiobahn subwoofer.
It was beautiful, and fit nearly perfectly, BUT it was GIGANTIC!!! I lost a couple inches of shoulder room, and I was shifting with my rist because my entire arm didn't fit between the sub and the shifter!
Check this link: I did a full write-up on the console and the +'s and -'s about it:
Well, as the PontiacSound boxes were good for what they were, for how long his sales lasted, you also have the Fibersmith boxes. There are no problems with them. Anything that Pat at Fibersmith comes up with is outstanding quality. It's just that I don't think that they look very good.
There is a great looking fiberglass custom center console very similar to the ones that PontiacSound was making. They are being advertised on E-Bay and were for sale on ebay every other week or so. They were selling for about $120.
Does anyone know of these ones? Has anyone purchased them? They are not listed on ebay right now, and I wish they were. I'd buy one...

This is a good point to remember when purchasing or designing one of these...

Ahhh, mslorifiero. I think the idea is a good one, but personally I'd like to see something that had more of an back angle to it as it rises. Seems to stick out too much at the top. She has a cup holder that looks decent. As far as mslorifiero products go, there certainly is some inititative there and I appreciate the effort that goes into her products, but (and I think I can say this because I'm fairly certain she's already given me a - ) they seem to me to lack that special touch that would make her products outstanding. Kind of like a performer on American Idol that gives a decent performance but is just out of tune enough to make you start searching Morpheous for something better. Just my opinion, if it offends anyone- so what, it's my opinion.
ok is there anyone in the northern california area that makes these? I would definately love to have one for me, then one for my sons gt, then probably others as I aquire other fieros.
I like the ones that extend all the way upto and around the shifter.
